new to me Daisy 1000

 made by Hatsan. I think it is a Hatsan 70 rebadged.

    Got it on the yellow. Tuned, some trigger work. Came as pictured except for the scope itself.

    Got it this am sometime while I was out running errands. Got home around noon, and promptly put on a scope to sight it in.

    I like it a lot! More on it in a bit but here are a few pics of it. I'll go into more details later on.

   





  put about 50 pellets through it and went back to work. I'll update later on!

 currently in between coats of clear on a table 

    The 1000 is noticeably heavier than my Gamo's.  Easier to hold on target standing and offhand even before touching the trigger.

   The only noise it makes is a ring from the hollow stock. Going to have to fill that.

   It is a little front heavy, which I seem to like so far.

   Whoever tuned this , I assume the guy I bought it from did a nice job. Shoots smooth. No spring noise. Jut the hollow stock noise.

   The trigger is medium in weight but very smooth and so far pretty predictable.

   hits HARD! Sighted it in quick with CPHP's and at 20 yards in a breeze was pulling off nickel size groups. Crosman boxed heavy domes 10.5's more often than not piled up on each other. At least the boxed ones that had a smaller head. The tighter fitting ones didn't fair as well. Guess I need to sort those pellets.

  thanks Dave! While researching what would be my 1st Turkish AG I ran into a few threads you posted on. Happy to say your words on these turkeys made me jump on this one when I saw it.

   Your collection is pretty sweet. So I take it mine is version 3

Yessir, the last of the Hatsan Daisy airguns. V3 and dated 09-2005.
Glad some trigger work WAS done already. Out of the box these beasts have somewhere from 12-14 pounds of trigger pull.

I own the Winchester/Daisy 800x.
 I'm curious is there a hole in the 1000x for scope stop pin. There is no hole in my Turkish made 800x. I use the iron sights.

My 1000x came with a scope stop screw installed in the hole, and a square metal plate under that screw.
