CZ 634

I am thinking about getting a CZ 634. I am VERY satisfied with my CZ 22 LR and figure their air rifle had to be pretty good, too.
It will be used for plinking in the yard only. I am looking for it to:
1) be light weight, the wives like to shoot, too!
2) has to be fairly accurate.
3) fairly quiet, it is a backyard gun.
4) don't care too much about pellet speed/power
5) fairly easy to cock, may shoot for an hour or so at a time.
6) Dovetail for scope mounting!
Am I on the right rifle for my 6 requirements?

Excellent choice. Great accurate air rifles.

It's a great rifle, you won't be disappointed. Depending on how many wives you have you may want to get more than one. I'm not a springer guy but I'm enjoying the 634, it's an exceptional little rifle and a great value.

The scope mounting slots on mine are a bit shallow.I had to try a couple of scope mounts before I found one that would attach securely.Other wise it's OK.Not the quality of a CZ 452 Lux however.

Those BKL s bite all dovetails! 11 or 13 mm and 3/8'' also. I have never found a dovetail they won't mount to.
thanks

I contacted Bud's yesterday to buy 2 of the rifles and told them I wanted to pick them up. But NO pickup at Bud's on non- FFL items. So it would have been $15 dollars freight for each and Kentucky sales tax 'cause I am a resident of Kentucky to add $24 total additional for each rifle.
I will find another source this week. But I am going to buy! One for me and one for one of my sons.

I quite literally, just logged on here to post that info up for you, but anyways, I am glad to see that you found them.
Another member here ordered his 634 from Richies pawn and gun, and he said that his buying experience was trouble free, so you should be good to go!!

The trigger definitely benefits from a clean up with some good stones.
I wound up stoning all the engagement and wear surfaces smooth, and burnishing them with some moly paste.
You can also play with the spring that is located inside of the trigger guard to get the trigger a little smoother as well.
Adjusting it so that it engages the trigger later in its travel helps to get away from the crunchy single stage.

Thanks chuckinohio! I will be searching everywhere to find tuning tips. I have never had a spring apart, but it may be coming soon.

Ditto on the 11MM dovetail.
My 634 is a new one, and the dovetail seems to be a tad smaller than 11MM as compared to other rifles in my stable. Not by much, but just slightly, judging by how the rings mounted.

Interesting. Seems the new guns are 11. Is yours the synthetic stock? Now I'm curious if anything else is different? I seriously use my 631 as a target rifle. Much like a Diana 27 or HW30s in power. My two older models are def 13mm
