HW 30S Deluxe vs. Beeman R7 vs. HW30?

I have an HW50S, et al, and have every intention of getting one of the above rifles to complement the HW 50S when they become available again.  I plan on scoping the rifle and like the muzzle brake so much that I put one my HW50S

If they were all readily available and affordable, which one would you chose and why. Thanks for your input.

Well I assume the Beeman R7 is still a German made gun unlike the lower end Chinese made Beeman's.  And I would think so since it has a Limited LIfetime Warranty.  The Weihrauchs have a 1 year warranty.  But really other than that the R7 is essentially a HW30 then you get into the regular 30 stock or the DeLuxe walnut looking checkered stock for a choice.

To be quite honest the toss up comes to mind.  Most folks tune their rifles eventually so a warranty would be null and then a R7 cost you roughly $40-$50 more so when you get into that I say Weihrauch.  But like I stated, not really much difference in them as far as capability.

I went with the 30S. I like the option of using a peep for plinking/indoor shooting. Stock is your preference.

I just got the 30S.  The sights are fantastic.  I had planned to scope it so I used UTG/Leapers quick release mounts (about $24) and have the best of both worlds.  Looks real classy, like an old school hunting rifle.

The HW30s Deluxe stock looks sweet, doesn't it? I intend to get one in .177 to go along with my plain HW30s in .22. That Deluxe stock seems to really complement how sweet a shooter the gun really is.

Thanks, I'd seen that somewhere before and couldn't place it.  For the aforementioned reasons, I think I'll wait on a R7....what's another month or two?

never settle for anything less than that which you desire. 
Life is too short to compromise...especially when it comes to Airguns...R7-30S....both great choices.

Not doubt I agree with the article.  Either would be great but if you do shoot iron sights or may want to be able to then the Beeman version does not afford that.  Just keep that in mind.

It appears that I'll have time to ponder my choices inasmuch as no one seems to have either the HW30S Deluxe or the R7 in stock at the moment AND we're in transit to our summer address/jobs.

BTW, it's 32° with light snow forecast in Missoula, MT.

I did get my HW30s Deluxe from Airguns Of Arizona ordered on 3/29/14, I also could not find one anywhere but a forum member helped me. Know nothing and have never seen an R7, but am very pleased with looks and the shooting of my 30.

I have an old school R7 with sights, and a newer one without; I personally like the option, and the above mentioned quick release mounts seems a great idea. This is a nice light rifle well suited to a peep, or a smaller light  scope. My vote goes for the HW30s deluxe stock model, tk

Just got my HW30 Deluxe and it's a fun little gun to shoot. Plan to do a write up on it here or on the other forum. Typing on the GTA with a smart phone is a pita with the Facebook and Twitter &^^& blocking the display.

I absolutely love my HW30s and very much enjoy shooting it with open sights.
If you don't want open sights and do want a muzzle break, go with the R7, which comes with a muzzle break.  The difference in price between R7 and HW30 will be negated by not having to buy the muzzle break.

I attached a picture of my HW30S with quick release mounts (I hope, never done this before).  The mounts are UTG quick release mounts I got from Straightshooters for $24.  Pyramyd has the same mounts for the same price under the Leapers label.  The scope is a Bushnell Banner 4-12x40mm.  The sights are great and I wanted to be able to access them easily at will.  I bought this rifle with my 9 year old daughter in mind and want her to learn how to shoot both with a scope and iron sights.
