Next Granbury, TX FT Match

Our next Granbury, TX Match will be May 10th.  I have attached the details for the match.  We are a new start-up FT club with a focus on getting new people to start shooting FT.  We do bend a few of the AAFTA rules in an effort to give beginners a better chance and to make the match more fun.  You can see more about our previous match in the 3 page Granbury FT Interest thread below on this page.  Tom Gaylord came and did a nice write up on his blog.  You can find the link there.  Please come join us but our range is in a gated community and you MUST email me with you name in advance so I can get your name on the list (you can find my contact info on the attached detail page).  When I have your name I will send you a map.  I will send out another reminder as time gets closer but we are a month out and wanted to get this on your radar.

Just want to bring this back to the top.  We are a couple weeks out.  I have had good response so far and expecting a good turn out.

I spent some time the over the weekend getting the range ready for the match.  I made a few improvements and it is ready to go.  Just need to put targets out Friday night.

Glad you will be there Jeff.  From all my RSVP's we are looking at another big turn out.  Guessing around 30 again for this match.  Looks like almost everyone is coming back plus some new shooters.  I am hoping by starting an hour earlier and making a few changes for the match to run smoother we can get done a couple hours earlier.

I plan to shoot Hunter Pistol on your rifle course.  A good challenge, I think.

Thanks to all that came out for our second FT match.  We had 21 people shooting which I consider a success for holding a match on Mother's Day weekend.  Give me a few days to compile the match results and I will post them here.

Attached are the match results from this past Saturday.  We had 21 people turn out.  We used a modified class system:  PCP, Piston, Budget Rifle (rifles that costs less than $300), and Youth.  You were permitted to use sticks & stools.  We had 8 lanes with 3 targets per lane.  Face Plate hits scored 1 point.  Knock downs scored 2 points.  Max possible score was 96 points.  Joe Peacock was the PCP winner decided by a sudden death shoot off.  We had great weather, just a little windy.  Our next match will be Saturday June 28th.  Thanks to all those that came out.
