HW 30

Just got a  HW 30 from percision and man does this thing make me look good. It is so smooth I didn't think a springer could shoot this good. I don't want to mess with it. Love this thing.

it adds more power, and uses a heavy tophat, which is something I personally do not like. do whatever you wish, but the gun is so sweet with a jm kit....

 Used both...jm is the way to go in a 30  IMO..  again that heavy steel top hat isn't something I'm fond of.

Hey Petey, thanks for the reply.  You mentioned the heavy top hat.  How can you tell the difference?  Does it increase the cocking effort?  I am barely able to cock the factory stock rifle and do not need any added effort on the cocking.

Bingo...go with the JM kit and cocking will be easier.....the heavy top hat  in the V-tek is there for inertia/ power.
The Jm kit does not have it.

EASY rule----JM= factory power + smooth shootin and easy cocking.
V-tek -- + power and a little harder cocking as a result. 
Both are good just two different schools.
In addition:The JM kit drops in the same as any other kit...there is no mystery to a JM kit....it just doesn't look as cool as others. If you get stuck JM is not there for you...so what ! You have a number of us here that can help should you need  it.

FWIW, the top hat used in the brand new vortek hw30 kit I just installed was plastic or derlin, not steel as in past kits I have purchased.

I don't have a gram scale, but could notice a difference in weight just by feel.

Good to know....the kits i used in the recent past had an amazingly heavy "Steel" top hat.  I know in time that thing will break down the integrity of the AG.

Regarding Mr Macarri; I have found him to be responsive to email questions regarding his products. He has helped me several times ordering to assure I got the correct items. Queries should be short and direct, to the point. He is very busy and does not have time to instruct folks on the use of his products, though. I'm certain he would stand behind a faulty part, if in fact one left his shop. tk

Absolutely correct .. My experiences have been identical to yours ... short and too the point with regards to product questions....... I should clarify ..that you will not have a phone conversation with him nor will he hold your hand through an install. But for some reason people tend too think his kits are more difficult to install than others...simply not true...They are very straight forward and consistent in quality.
