Trail NP XL Powerplant Fits Super Streak

I just got done installing NP XL parts 1-5 on the Super Streak that just got converted to a gas spring. The parts fit like a glove, with 4mm of preload on the gas spring. I compared the piston sleeves of the NP XL and the Super Streak side-by-side and the external dimensions were identical.
So, anyone who wants to do the conversion of their Super Streak to a gas spring, will find it easy to do so. All in all, it's a $70 conversion.
And by all means, use a spring compressor when you take apart your Super Streak. I haven't put it through the chronograph yet, since I'm at the archery shop right now and don't get off work till 8, and I forgot to bring a tin of pellets when I left the house this morning. I might just wait till tomorrow to put it through the professional chronograph here at the shop. I'll post the numbers as soon at I get them.

I kinda thought the NPXL was little more than an update on the Super Streak.
Nice to know you just confirmed that.

Okay, I just put 15 shots through the chronograph. First shot was 808 fps and subsequent shots got faster. By the 10th shot, it was 867 fps and that's where it stayed for the next 5 shots. Shot consistency was excellent. I'm hoping that speed goes up as the seal wears in.

Oh, that was with 14.3 grain CPHPs and a brand new pristine, gougeless seal from Crosman. There was no smoke coming out of the barrel and there was no dieseling or detonation. This converted Super Streak is a sweet shooter now with no jump or torque.

Very nice hope the numbers go up some more for yea,if they stay at or around 860ish that is still very nice. My XL1100 only does 836.4 on average with the stock seal that came in it, I hope it goes up after I do my tune on it......
