2289 trigger question

I took my grip apart so that I could do some trigger polishing and a tiny bearing fell out, does anyone know where this bearing goes??

It's probably the little steel ball for the safety pin.
105-039 on the parts diagram.

  Did you also find the tiny spring?    Those are the safety parts.    They go in a channel above the safety.

Welcome to the world of Crosman modding   If you lost both the spring and ball I've got some balls and the spring can be made from one out of a disposable lighter.  You just need to cut it down a little.  Easiest way to get it all back in is to take the trigger frame off the tube. Then put all trigger parts in put on the side plate and lastly drop in the ball and spring in the slot.

That's sounds like a good idea. That spring and bearing are so small, I'm always worried they'll get lost.

Yeah I lost the ball....pretty ticked, luckily this trigger isn't light enough to have to worry about a safety in short term.  I just need to find a viable replacement laying around here cause ordering that ball just seems absurd

It will be hard to tell as you don't have anything to compare to but the real small balls that make up the chain on some nail clippers will work.  Some are too big and some are just right.  While you are there you can pick up some nail polish for the front sight.
