HELP! Marauder hammer throw screw problem!

On my first attempt to tune my marauder today, I tuned everything up to the maximum, with the intent of starting from the top and bringing it down to a reasonable level. My first shot with everything set at max (3000 psi) went *poot* at 235 fps. I tried resetting the tuning to the max again, and still no decent velocity. I then tried backing the hammer throw out a little more, and the hammer stroke screw fell out. I can look in the hole in the back and I can't see the screw. I also can't disassemble the gun because the degasser won't reach the valve without the screw. I'm stuck. HELP!

OK, first is CCW is the direction towards 'max' with the 1/8" wrench...screw it CW and it will both slow things down dramatically but it will eventually fall out the front.

take off scope
remove detent screw from rear top of the breech
remove bolt's cocking lug
remove bolt
remove screw under bolt
remove screws on forward part of breech
lift off breech/barrel/shroud assy

IFF a gen2
remove scope, remove all 4 screws holding breech down
lift off barrel/bolt/breech/shroud assy


Then for both, remove the rear trigger screw
remove end cap
remove cocking lug from hammer
slide hammer out the bakc

recover the striker and re-install
