The Korean cylinder run repeaters, like the Sumatra, would work with anything up to about .600-610".

Figured they'd go with the "monster" profile to get the weight without excess length, should be able to gain 20% weight with that shape and not significantly change length, so sothing in the 30-31gr. range?

Maybe so, Douglas, but there is no easy fix for the Hatsan, the slot in the receiver is only 0.430".... and the magazines are 0.420".... The pellets stick out the ends and are located by O-rings on the circumference.... If the waist is in the wrong place, even a shorter pellet may jam.... However, as I said the 36 gr. Daystates work perfectly, and they are 0.410" long, so no reason JSB can't do something similar....

Quite so...but the shape of the Daystates does not work for them...why expect JSB to get it working? I suspect the best they'll do will be on the proportions of the 18.1 gr Jumbo Heavy. Probably only about 30 gr...but still not shaped like the ones that don't seem to fly well.

According to a rep. For JSB they were thinking of 28-31g and they we're suppose to be out at the end of last year! The topic started on the "yellow" about 8 months ago and he was asking peoples opinions on what weight . Funny I started a post about 2 months ago asking if my one heard any news yet and manny was the only one who replied now it seams like it's the latest news since the wheel was invented

In any event, let's all hope they deliver something soon!

Isn't longer generally better for BC and accuracy, everything else left the same? It seems like for accuracy to progress we don't want to be limited by last years short magazine lengths? Also in California non-lead may become the only option, it seems like we need breathing room in the breech space to support new innovations?

they can still make them 35gr and fit most mags, if the 35gr EunJin is shorter than a Predator, than there's room there

The Baracuda is a particularly long pellet because of the semi-conical nose design and the very long tapered skirt.... A JSB of the same weight would definitely be shorter....

I'd like to see something in the high 30s. My 43.2 Eunjins fit my Marauder mag just fine. I don't see why anything less than that wouldn't. There's already plenty of good 31 grain options out there. I'd rather them go 35 or 38 just to give us something in between the Eunjins and the Cudas.

As everyone else mention It would be perfect to have a JSB in the 32-38 range. I love how my mrod shots with the Kings but I could use a lot more weight. My mods are asking for Grains. It would we perfect to shot between 50 and 60 fpe based on the the air capacity and keeping a good shot count. Right now I can get 16 shots with 2% of spread up to 50-52 fpe. Being a hunting gun, I could easy go to 55-60 and keep 16 shots within 4% of the spread which would be perfect. I just need something that shots well to tune to. The best after the JSB are the cudas which shot about 1-0.75 inches from 40 compared to the JSBs 0.5 to 0.25 groups, something times tighter when I do my part.

on the Hatsan BT65 the back of the receiver mag notch has plenty of "growing room"
the bolt is retracted about 1/4 back when the mag rotation cycle starts...
and the mag lifter hanf that rotates the mag has plenty of support in that area too...

so cutting .100 or so from the back face of the mag notch is no problem..



the base diameter of the mag has plenty of room for a couple or more 2-56 flathead screws..

so adding a filler plate to the back of the mag wouldn't take any extreme measures..
doesn't have a notched profiled or anything like that just drilled and indexed to match the ports..

a piece of delrin turned with a face ring to fit the back of the mag would be about perfect.

i am DROOLING over the news for this... a search of the JSB website didn't reveal anything other than on the JSB king page,

"and you can expect heavier and lighter variants in the future"

no clue when this page was created nor how old his is...

put me at #1 please!! my condor loves the weight of the 31.02 baracudas, and i want heavier with accuracy!  75+ FPE baby!

I passed on a great deal for alot of .25 pellets with this in mind, I'm holding on to see if the really come out with a -/+ 35gr pellets,...that would be perfect for my guns
