Options/vendors for bulking a 1077?

I read through all the search results for bulking the 1077, and am amazed that there doesn't appear to be a straightforward answer regarding using paintball tanks with the rifle. Many of the links are dead and the few suppliers I can find are either not accepting orders, or the information on their site is pretty limited and the cost of the parts is ridiculous (like as in twice what the rifle cost). Surely someone makes a cap with a 90 degree quick connect so I can attach a bulk tank via microline and wear the tank on my belt. The only posts I saw with this type of setup were custom jobs done by folks with access to machinery that I am not privy to.
I thought I would love my crosman 1077, but after going through 2 powerlets to realize that I only get about 25-30 mediocrely accurate shots per cylinder, I was disgusted and tossed it into my closet. I've never seen such a gas hog. My crosman .357 will get 50-60 shots no problem, and my umarex xbg gets easily 180 shots per powerlet. Someone please steer me towards an affordable bulk fill or tethered solution so I can enjoy this rifle. As it is, I wonder how this rifle has so many good reviews. It would cost $15 in powerlets just to go through a 500-count tin of pellets. Considering I shoot a tin a week, that's $780 a year just in powerlets. Kind of makes my r9 elite more of a "budget" plinker than this 1077.
Thanks for any input you guys may have. I really want to find a reasonable way to enjoy this rifle.

The only one that comes to mind right away is Joe @ HPASports:

http://www.hpasports.com/pages/product-catalog-detail/1077_BFVA?previous_url_id=1
Have dealt with Joe before and he's a great guy with quality products for sure. I know he was having some health issues last year, but I think(?) he has it under control now. As for prices, I hear ya but as is the case with most aspects of this sport/hobby/obsession, if you wanna play you gotta pay...we need it and they (vendors) got it...
Good luck in your quest, let us know how you make out!

I guess I'm missing something in the description. Maybe you can help clarify this for me. Once those two parts are installed does the rifle become refillable from a bulk tank, or is it designed to run directly from the tank via a microline? I couldn't quite figure it out from the description. I would actually prefer a constant attachment to the tank so pressure would remain more consistant with less cooling and the line acting a bit like a regulator. I know what you mean about paying to play. I am still a bit surprised that it takes about $100 to bulk a $65 rifle that has a pencil barrel rattling around inside the shroud, though the parts do appear top notch.
Is there any way to use a dummy co2 cylinder? It would be nice if that would work.
I guess I need to run a couple more powerlets through it to see if it is worth it in the end. I can get past the awful trigger pull, but the sights are dreadful and the accuracy is nothing special. I got 1/2" groups at 10 meters, which isn't surprising considering how loose the barrel is in the shroud. I know I can fix that, but I don't want to open the thing up in case I decide to sell it and pick up a daisy 74 or an Umarex morph to get a reasonable shot count from powerlets.
Anyhow, thanks for the help.

Derek, it is designed to be filled from a tank, though I don't see why you cannot shoot tethered if you wish. I do it on my converted 2400kt all the time when I am sighting in a scope.

Thanks for the reply. I might end up going that route. I'm just scraping pennies to finish school at the moment.
I was looking at a bottom line kit for paintball and don't see why it wouldn't work. Of course it would only work tethered, but I have no problem with that. I think that if someone came out with a reasonably accurate and affordable semi-auto airgun that used a large co2 tank as the buttstock (like the airforce condor), it would sell like hotcakes. Even my qb79 with it's heavy front end (with 9 oz. tanks) is not too unwieldy to enjoy and I get 350-400 shots at ~800 fps between fills.

Well, I found a quick and easy solution for very little money. I bought a bottom line conversion for a pistol on amazon for $20 shipped. It came with a dummy co2 cartridge and a threaded steel-breaded hose that connects to the dummy cartridge to the included paintball tank adapter. I dropped in the dummy cartridge, drilled a small hole in the forearm of the stock, put the rifle back together and connected the braided line. I then connected my quick connect adapter to the paintball tank adapter and connected it to my microline. I am using a 24 ounce paintball tank, and got just under 3000 shots at ~600 fps with cphp's. This setup works flawlessly, was cheap, and can be swapped over to any of my cartridge-powered airguns in the future. The only problem now is that the crosman 1077 is just not a very accurate gun. I am getting 12-shot groups averaging about an inch at 36 feet (my indoor range max). This is from a solid rest and with a 16x ao scope. I can get better groups with any of my other pellet guns, including any of my air pistols. The real aggravation is that I can have a group of 6 pellets in the same hole, and then send the next 6 pellets all over the place. I have tried several types of pellets and it's the same story every time.

3000 shots?! i'm glad this worked for you cuz i just ordered the dummy co2 cart and remote line myself , i had no other option since my gun is the older model with different threads in the cylinder. as for accuracy did you do any barrel stabilizing mods? Not too hard to do and while your inside you can swap the trigger spring for a lighter one for improved pull. I've had good accuracy with the beeman hollow point coated 7.2g.
