Please meet Hans & Franz, the two German brothers that recently joined my family. That's Hans in the back (R7) and Franz in the foreground (HW30S).

These two are just amazing. I know I'm not telling you guys anything you don't already know, but, the fit, finish, and quality of these rifles is off the charts. I shoot my AGs for target/plinking fun and to practice for my indoor rimfire league. The R7 weighs in at 6# 10 oz. and shoulders just like the Remington 541T I compete with. I should have photoed them together, they're a handsome pair! I hope to get them all broken in ASAP 'cause the weather should start to break shortly and I'll be getting into the outdoor rimfire stuff again. This might be the first summer the AGs don't spend a lot of time on the rack in the Man Cave.

I've got Williams peeps on a few guns. My 1949 vintage eyes aren't bad for my age, but I just can't shoot open buckhorn or notched sights anymore. I'm thinking I might get a couple other apertures from Williams to see if they improve my groups on paper. What I'd really like to get is some other inserts for the front sight. I've got a set of Lee Shaver inserts I use in my Lyman's and if you've never used them you don't know what you're missing.............the Mailman

I've got a Williams Peep ordered from AoA. Hector cut a dovetail into the front sight ramp on his Diana 54 and installed a Williams FireSight. That definitely looks like something I want to do!

Very nice as a teen in high school I competed on the HS rifle team with a Remington 513T with peep sight and that was my first pb . Unfortunately sold/traded it many years ago for a Rem 1100 12 gauge for skeet shooting

Allow me, Greg. You're talking about a few $100 for something that you can play with, enjoy, and talk to your friends about. You don't have to hide it from anyone (I hope). And you're not going to risk any serious contagious medical situations by fondling it. Everybody that reads this forum, truly wants you to die happy, but not tomorrow!!! Go get a new toy and your peer group (us!) will go out of our way to tell you how happy we are for you.

Geez, I was born in the 40's and I wouldn't go back and change much that's happened in my life, especially getting those beautiful German pieces of art that I've been shooting daily.

Hey Greg, I can relate. I'm 62 and don't have the expenses of my younger days. Everyone blows money on something, a hobby, traveling, exotic cars, or charities. Enjoy it while you can. I spread mine around on Fly Fishing, Golf, Wood Working, Computers, Pool Shooting, and Air Guns .... just spending some of my kids' inheritance.

Do it and don't think twice about it. You can't take it with you. Live small for a month or 2 if you have to while breaking that new baby in. At our age you gotta live every day like it's your last.

Look at my list and remember I got my Gamo whisper .177 last march and a month later my Diana 460 in .177 now its also PCP's and a Hill pump soon a freedom 8 and tanks. Then a .177 Air Arms S510 soon after an Evanix Rainstorm .357. Then in mid May I leave for Tempe AZ to meet up with a riding buddy then through the Million Dollar Hwy and back to NY I want to make sure that the last check written is for the funeral with nothing left over then the kids can fight over my toys

PS I will be 68 next December

Love your attitude, Don, and I am in awe that you can still ride that Softail .... way down low and behind that motor .... I'm 62 and 6'5" .... my hips won't do that anymore. I thought I had it bad ... look at that list of AG's you have.
