WOW!!! I already loved the ProSport, but didn't even know of Si Pitteway. I watched all of his videos and subscribed to his channel. Am I overstating? but I think most of us could learn a thing or two from Si. He could really help new members with all the basic shooting science. I'm using the Chairgun Pro now since I watched his videos. I have my backyard flagged off with flags every ten yards out to 50. Using the SR 12 reticle on my Hawke 6-24X56, I was able to fine tune my accuracy. My groups have shrunk 50%. I'm shooting 18.1 grain JSB heavies at 877 fps out of my Daystate MK4. The most interesting aspect of this PCP is my 1" kill zone is maintained using the primary cross of the reticle from 10.4 yards to 48.1 Yards. Dont need to change unless I want a smaller kill zone than 1". Needless to say, if you are using an SR6, SR12 or Mil-Dot, the Hawke Chairgun Pro is the sweetest thing I've seen in a long, long time. Especially with a 14 fpe springer. I know the shot cycle is calmer on a 14 fpe rifle, but I believe Si has proven once and for all that a .177 with proper shot placement is plenty adequate for "dispatching small vermin". Now If I can just get a Pro Sport in .22, I'd be extatic.

That Si is fun to watch. Great videos. The air arms pro sport is gorgeous and deadly accurate. I struggled between that rifle and my choice of the HW95 Luxus. I was simply afraid of the extra weight. I am tickled with the HW95, and do not regret the choice at all. But I still lust over the other woman. Curse those roaming eyes!

Tom, the answer why the PS has a listed higher velocity over the TX is called marketing. You are already familiar with the concept due to most manufacturers velocity claims. As has been stated these models have the same components but a different cocking mechanism. I have shot Gene's Pro Sport and can attest to it being everything you'd ever want in an Air Arms springer. Velocity differences will vary from individual to individual model or as some may say,YMMV.

They should be identicle other than looks and cocking linkage... if you look at the FT Scene, you see more TX's than PS. but there nearly identicle internally, same barrels and such. You have aTX tom, i wouldn't worry much about the prosport being better or worse, its virtually identicle. if you want another rifle in that price range, get a HW97K...
