Gun bags

So I have heard that the plastic rifle boxes can cause rust ,but has anyone had a problem with bags? I have not as of yet just wondering.

I use them, but I put dessicent bags in with them.  You know the ones they give you in packing.

But I feel that if it's not in a humid warm area, and not left forgotten, you won't let that happen anyway.

A well taken care of gun shouldnt rust unless you forget about it, but them again Ive never used plastic cases

I read somewhere that if you keep your guns in a hard case, you should put them in a silicone gun sock. I guess the foam padded hard cases will leave marks in the gun after time. I dont know about the soft cases. I transport all of my guns in a silicone gun sock no matter what case I have them in, jist for added protection.
