It seems like only last year "everybody" who could afford to was moving to the TX 200 as the best airgun ever. I now see several posts here with various problems with the TX 200 and none have a thing to do with accuracy, they're mechanical issues. I'll throw mine into the mix.
The stock mounting bracket is of poor construction. It appears to be extruded 6063 aluminum, aka pot metal. The size, to my thinking, is inadequate for the amount of metal removed for mounting holes. One must be very careful as they can stand no strain.
Replacements are available from Pyramyd for $8 or from Maccari for $15. I went a step further with a heavier one machined from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. I should never repeat this problem.
Regarding the cocking shoe - mine came with no lubrication. My advice to anyone with a TX 200 - take it apart, clean out the factory lubricants, and give it a proper lube job for a long and happy life, but be careful with your stock mount!
