FYI:
http://www.airgunforum.ca/forums/topic59436.html
That being said, when I was contemplating whether to allow Nervoustrigger to twist my arm and go with a regulated tank on a qb78 or not, I saw all sorts of threads for PCP tubes for the QB78 on the Canadian forums.

Also, I had found this site last month where one of the tubes he sells is for the QB78 as well:

The site owner was great about answering questions I had to boot.

Mike still had some qb pcp tubes available the last time I checked with him. I believe they are in the white and will need final finish work.

I was told last summer that the Hi-pac was a no go around here.........?
Why not just get a pcp from Mike M and have a rifle that is already set up for the pressure?

Not to get off track but, I notice the claimed gains for the springer tune kits on that site are crazy high!
Seem too good to be true or maybe I'm just missing something.

Have done the QB to air conversion three ways.
HiPac unit for the QB is relatively new. It is NOT the way to go for high power unless you are deep into valve moods. By design, you pretty much only have the air in the valve to rely on for power, so if you want major power are going to have to find a way to maximize valve volume. If you are pleased with moderate power, it can work. Is also a small volume tube, so you’ll never have a long shot count.
Because of some tuning concerns, will rate this difficulty in conversion/tuning as a 6 on a 10-point scale.
Have converted several QB’s to 13CI HPA tanks. Best bet is to do the work and convert a long tunbe3d QB78 to bottle. Having a lot of air between the regulator and the valve is a good thing for power, as that’s the only air you can rely on during a shot. IF you can be happy with moderate power, then a QB79 conversion is a lot less work to make (no tube cutting) and gives fine results to about 12-15 foot pounds.
12-15 foot pound QB 79 easy, would rate that a 4 on a 10 point scale.
Higher power (15-23 foot pound) QB78 conversion is a bit harder (because you have to cut the tube and inlet the stock for the gas block) so will rate that a 8:
Adding a PCP tube really depends on how well they got the holes/slots to match up. It’s a pretty easy conversion if the tube was made right. There is enough room in a QB for a strong enough spring to open the valve at 3K.
Would rate this a 5 on a 10-point difficulty scale.
So long as I’m talking QB’s, may as well post the last family photo:
