Hawke sport HD sunshade????

Just got a Hawke Sport HD 3-9x40 Model HK3006. Does anyone know what tube type sunshade might fit this scope?? Also, if you've used the honeycomb sunshade, what are your impressions?? Part numbers and where you got yours would be good.

And, if anyone cares, I'm not too impressed with this scope. Eye relief is critical, glass isn't real clear, and there's some distortion at higher magnification. Why am I keeping it you ask. It's because it's mechanically very accurate, clicks do what you'd expect, AO is good, and it holds zero great. For a cheap scope it's a keeper, just not great.

have you fine tuned the ocular ( eye piece ) focus ?

Yes I adjusted the ocular and the AO till I thought I was gonna wear them out. I can get close, but also think maybe it might be my glasses causing part of the problem. However, I don't have this issue with my other scopes. I guess, from the reviews, I was expecting something better.

Thanks for the links, already been there and had the same luck..........no luck. I emailed Hawke and hope to hear from them Monday. I doubt they have one though. Was hoping someone had done a little experimenting and found something that would fit.

Thanks John, I ran across that outfit a couple years ago, but couldn't remember their name. Might be an option depending on what Hawke has to say.

Got my answer from Hawke and I quote "Thanks for contacting Hawke Sport Optics. Our sunshades and Honeycombs will not fit Sport HD scopes, Sorry!" Guess that answers that. Reckon it's either gonna be a homemade one or some universal fit aftermarket. Bummer!!
