I own a Sheridan pistol E series. I am needing help to dissemble the barrow. The gun leaks gas as soon as the cartage is pierced. Bought the gun new in 1978. Can someone help me.

Contact Ron Sauls at Bryan & Associates or Tim at Mac1 Airgun Shop. You will need a reseal kit, 2 special Sheridan tools and a schematic of the pistol. These are not difficult to work on, but could be challenging if this is your first time going inside. Alternately, Smith Airgun Repair could fix the gun for you at a pretty reasonable cost if you prefer not to mess with it. All three companies are on the Web.

I have the same gun it had the same problem. The .22 cal is different from the .177 I have both, you wont need any special tools to disassemble the .177 but you will need a special tool to take the valve assembly out of the .22. A seal kit will fix your problem I would also recommend a piercing rod brcause the valve on the rod will probably need changing

Here's a pic of mine when I had it apart. There may be a couple of variations, but this one had an old soldered style valve, so you would need the valve removal tool if this is the kind you have. Actually, the valve is pretty much the same as in the pumper version, a real gas waster.
