One of my absolute favorites!

ahh yes, reggae,...
I had a dear friend, may he rest in peace, that taught Bob, and the Wailers, how to play the music.  His name was Joe Higgs.
Joe allowed me to become his live concert archivist, and we traveled all around California from mid-late 80's, 'til his passing in 1999(? - i dread the date and try not to think on it).
Joe was from the city slicker, hard driving jazzy side Ska music side of the music. His is largely considered to be the godfather of reggae.

Another relationship that developed from my time with Joe, and, in my archival recordings, is a relationship that I have with the other reggae legend that shaped the Wailers (and pretty much all others), Ras Michael Henry.
Ras Michael was from the country, the hills of Jamaica, and is the true form of rasta dreadlock side of the music.

Through these two fine gents, I've met endless reggae greats, and spent time with them.

I understand Three Little Birds, well.
