Want a heavy, tapered Brake with 1/2-20 UNF thread

I swapped out the .177 barrel on my R9 for a .22 Barrel I ordered from a shop in Canada.  The barrel that came in is a 12 inch Karbin Barrel with a 1/2-20 UNF threaded muzzle. 

The only brake I could find readily available was a 4 inch ported aluminum brake from HPA that is not that heavy or attractive.  I'd like to find something that is more traditional and has some mass for legitimate damping.   I cannot tell if the TKO is robust enough for a Springer - it will be grabbed to cock the piston, I am sure.   

Anybody got any recommendations for a good quality 1/2-20 UNF threaded brake?  Ideally a straight tube with a tapered base without porting that is robust enough for cocking the R9.   

I just want a simple threaded Brake.  I'm not interested in screwing around with sound attenuating devices of any sort, just want to interface with the barrel using the threaded muzzle and get some harmonic damping.

Does a threaded muzzle interfere with a friction mounted brake?  Maybe I should give up on the threaded mounting.
