Why Do You Use Airguns

I use mine for target shooting. I shoot grapes off my wife's head. OOPS I just woke up (I do have realistic dreams). LOL

I can keep my shooting skills up in the back yard.  The neighbors didn't much care for the AK47 but the TX200 slides by them.

The neighbors would frown upon the idea of shooting a rim fire in the backyard.   Basically, it's a discreet way to target practice and getting rid of pests. It's a great way to improve my shooting skills as well.

There is almost nothing better after a long work day than blasting away!! Totally therapeutic!! It's also so much easier to get the kids involved. Grab a tin and go.

i chose other .....
i'm on disability and can't get around like i used to and i'm not really interested in hunting . i needed something to help break the boredom of having so much spare time and figured a airgun was a good idea . i also like tinkering so the 2289/bugbuster was a perfect choice for me . it's not too loud and the variable power lets me shoot indoor or outdoor . i get a little exercise from the pumping and it get's me outside more often . my favorite targets were the locust a few months ....... i just LOVED watching them explode  LOL .

I usually set a couple of Apple halves on a target sheet at 30 yards and wait for the yellow jackets to munch.....SPLATT!!!

 From the time I was old enough to handle a rifle, I hunted small game and pests....quail, rabbit, squirrel with .22 rifle. Plus the .243 or .22/250 for long range fun on groundhogs. However for several years, I've been unable to do any of that because all my hunting areas are no longer available. My air rifles allow me to shoot safely on my backyard range where my PB might make the neighbors wonder if WW3 had started. As other's have mentioned, it's one of the most relaxing hobbies one can have. Besides..it allows me to get away from that "honey-do" list most wives seem to have. What's more important than having to see what pellet works best with your current rifle?

The power of air simply amazes me! Shoot a soup can @62 yards and knock it off of a 4 foot tree stump, but hit the same can square and the pellet passes through, and the can does not move.WOW! I love when air power makes my jaw drop.

LOL , no locust hunting permit required in va , hahaha . i love meat and fully support hunting ! but i had to let go of 2 dogs that i dearly loved and shooting furry things just hasn't appealed to me since  i do a bit of what i call faux hunting though ......... i cock but don't load or pump my DBO , get critters in the crosshairs , follow them till i get a good steady shot and pull the trigger . it's much more exciting and challenging than shooting a static target/object .

I got tired of no bullets, powder, primers and brass are in stock Sir. Then when the were in stock the prices are getting kind of out there for me. I was looking at some reloading supplies that I purchased just a few years ago and MAN!! Shame on the manufacture's for gouging us so bad, I guess as long as people keep paying the prices won't go down any time soon..  I have had a RWS48 for about 25 years that I used to use to practice my hold during the winter for highpower match's and that gun is still a blast to shoot. I recently bought a used USFT of someone on the yellow forum and have been having fun with that too. I'm lucky in that at my Biz after or before hours I can shoot up 102 feet indoors, heated and air conditioned, I live in MI. so in the winter that sure does come in handy.  I'm with some of the others, sometimes after a hard days work doing a little target practice sure does have a calming effect.

cause its legal for me to shoot in nys ,its fun,cheaper,and i can shoot in my apartment out to 10yds without anyone complaining ....u can buy them without needing a license ,u meet good people alone the way  ....and like Richard said "Its what all the cool kids are doing" lol...... ......jorge

LOL! i so wished i had a grenade launcher and some grenades. with that kind of power, accuracy is over rated. lol just have to get close.

When its cold and windy I can shoot my air rifles inside off a portable bench rest at a target 10 meters away. Today I mounted a new scope on my new Crosman 392 PA pump up air rifle .  Then sited it in off the bench rest using four pumps. Next I ll use eight pumps while using some different brand and weight pellets.
