I am in the process of rebuilding an MOD 85 and have done a few changes that I have read about on here.
what I dont see is what lube to use on the spring... and what piston seal to use and how to get it on the piston?
I assume you must cut off the factory seal, as it is rock hard (and I just bought it, brand new, took it apart?)
I am not looking to get more power from it, just want to rid the gun of that annoying TWANG, looking for just a solid THUD like a nitro piston

Put the end of the piston in very hot water this will soften the seal material and make easy to remove same applies to the new seal. You can buy replacement seals and all necessary lubes and black tar from JM you will find a link to his web site at the GTA mall

Every gun model is a little different, do a search on tuning and tearing down various Hatsan models and you'll get a good idea of what's needed and how. Look in the GTA Library on tuning and lubes, there are a couple pages explaining what and where to use. As was said, better grade seals and good lubes can be found here

I don't have a 85 but it is close to a 95 and 1000/Striker so the info on those models would be close, but look at the 125 and others also.
