Synrod vs condor ss

I recently purchased a synrod in .25 and was having some problems with it. First off the pump and the gun were reading different psi measures. While the gun said 3k the pump said 2200 psi. I also noticed I'd only get around 8-10 shots before I had to refill again from 3k to 2k. The gun also ping a lot like the speinger never existed. After that's friend and I were going to pump the gun up again but first we had to discharge it because it had a round in the chamber. So my friend pulled the trigger and there was a pound bang like the shroud wasn't even there. It literally hurt our ears. So we take a look and the o-ring blew out from the chamber. So I'm definitely sending the gun back and wondering if I should just have them send me another one or should I throw a lil more money in and get the condor ss in .25

My bro-n-law has the .25 Condor and I really like it. I have never shot an M-rod, but from what I have read, I prefer the Condor for power. He has never had a problem with his Condor.

I have an older MROD & a Talon pistol. The Talon has more power. The MROD is more accurate. The Talon is LOUD. They are both fun. I hit a pigeon at 105 yards with the MROD. I like them both, they are both accurate. My MROD gets 20-24 shots from 3000 to 2000 psi with the sweet spot around 2750 psi.
Gauges are cheap. I noticed my Benjamin pump and my .25 MROD read the same, but the .22 MROD read about 400 psi higher. I would have my gauge checked out at a paintball shop or a scuba shop, then you will have your answer.

I have heard many more good thing than bad about the 25 mrod. I would try again unless you preferred the other rifle.

Id go for the Condor. Power can be easily adjusted at a touch of a finger. Not to mention the LW barrels for better accuracy. The Synrod has a Green Mountain barrel. Which isnt bad. Power is good for a .25 cal.
May come down to which one you like better

The o-ring is an easy fix. So is the gage. A call to Crosman should have a replacement of each on the way quickly; they are remarkably good when a warranty issue comes up. Neither is a complex repair, and both cost less than shipping the whole rifle one way. Or try a gage from another supplier...those gages are cheap; I wish a good one, at 2x the cost were available easily.
gheers,

I don't have a Condor SS but I have a 25 synrod and a 25 AAA TT Condor. Once I got the condor, the synrod started gathering dust. I brushed it off once I got a chrony but shortly thereafter it started gathering dust again. The repeater is nice, but pushing jsb's at 1050 fps with laser-like precision is nicer

I had the old style Marauder in .22 and it shot great but felt awkward and was heavy. I also have a CondorSS and it shoots very well. I'm planning on converting the Condor SS to a .257 bullet shooter, but if that wasn't my plan I'd go for the synthetic Marauder over the Condor SS. I've now had 14 Air Force rifles, they have some great features but I feel the Marauder is simply a step ahead in quality. It really does matter what you're specific application is, the Condor SS is more versatile and has some great features but I'm not really liking the new safety. My next project will be a .25 Marauder bull pup with an extended air reservoir and shroud. Both rifles have great features, you really should have both.
