Crosman 'Pellgunoil' or what are you oiling pumpers with?

I saw this same question about two years ago and one of the most recommended answers at that time was cheap automatic transmission fluid.  I've been using that ever since and had good luck with it so far.  It's even the right color: red!  The reason so many recommended it was that atf is expected to act kindly to seals under the operating environment within a transmission.  It made sense to me and I've been using it ever since.

If your store doesn't have ND oil or doesn't know what it is, just get compressor oil. Most Walmarts sells ND oil but they ALSO sell compressor oil and air tool oil which both will work and are orderless. Or go to any "real" auto parts store like Napa, Discount Auto or what ever. I like Discount Autos clear power steering fluid. Get the clear orderless one in the white qt. container .

Remember Walmart employees aren't hired for there knowledge of the products there selling.

You might look in the Lawn & Garden department. Most likely use for ND oil is in lawnmower engines. I got mine in the L&G dept at WalMart.

u could always go with the paint ball gun oil its like 6 bucks a bottle about 5 times as much oil than the one u mentioned and its made for co2 or hpa its what i use on my co2s and my 1377 . extream rage paintball marker oil 1 fl oz

i just went to bi-mart today and stood around in their oil aisle for like half an hour looking for some nondetergent oil until finally the guy at the desk wasnt busy and asked me if i need help. i told him what i was looking for and what it was for. he looked at me like i was stupid and told me they didnt even carry nondetergent oil. he took me over to the gun cleaning section and showed me an entire row of different oils for guns. thats when i actually felt kind of stupid 

so i bought some hoppe's lubricating oil, says its for firearms, fishing reels and all mechanisms. it comes in a 2 1/4 ounce bottle for three bucks.

You most likely asked an employee that had no clue on what you are asking for. The one you got is for lubricating metal to metal lube and will break down your seals. The one you need is found on the rows of motor oils and looks like this >>

Went to WM today. Asked the gut stocking the motor oil isle where the ND oil was. He said they hadn't carried any in some time.

After he moved out of the way I found it with the other weights/types of ACCEL.
