Love shopping for guns... But realized my wallet doesn't love buying them... Then I discovered how far pellet guns have such amazing fit and finish... Might as well pick up this hobby and save a few bucks!
Just got a great deal on a used c11 phantom... Hopefully I can expand the arsenal soon!
Glad to meet you all,
Eddy

Hi, Eddy. Welcome to the GTA!! The education begins here. Airguns do have greatly improved fit and finish. They also have a wide range of prices and capabilities.
Pick a price range and I'm sure our staff of experienced volunteers will be happy to help you spend it - and more!!

Thanks guys!
Got to plink with that C11 out back and it was great. I was certainly surprised at the POP I got out of it... even got my wife in on the fun. The groups we shot weren't very impressive, but it was a good time nonetheless!
I have $100 to Walmart... I am thinking about picking up the 1322 and spending some time on that... the steel breech seems the first mod... and then new grips/forearm... then some straight POWER. That part eludes me a bit at the moment, but if I could add some power for not too much $$, I'd be down!
I've been really impressed already having a look around the web and seeing what people have done to these guns... very impressive. I'll find the appropriate forum and read up!

I suggest you save your money while you do your research. Sounds like you are about to do what I did and many others I have read did once we got the airgun bug really bad. We went out and bought a "bad" gun. One that we found out the hard way, was not accurate or did not fit our shooting style. So do diligence while shooting the gun you got. It will save you money and you are more likely to NOT buy a closet airgun. BTW, my closet gun is for sale.

Eddy,
You are funny, you will soon see what I mean when you are spending a few hundred bucks on air rifles, then the pcp fill equipment then pellets then cast bullets, etc......

YOU guys are funny! I have too many hobbies to get crazy about one... but I absolutely agree that I will spend some money in some odd places. HOWEVER... I am a CL guy... so I generally end up buying things at prices that I can easily resell for (or even make a profit on). The first gun was the c11, but I got it with a laser sight, bbs, and three co2 cartridges for $15! It can be as crappy as it wants at that price!
