Picked this Crosman 6500 up at an auction in Montana. These rifles are actually Anschutz 335 imported in the mid 80's and branded as Crosman.
The 335 was intended as a entry lever sporter and match gun and is mid power rated btwn 690-720fps in the Crosman owners manual.
It had a hooded front sight with inserts and was available with a peep rear sight. The trigger is an adjustable two stage that is very nice.
Leather seal on the piston. Cocks smoothly but has a solid thump followed by just little twang, needs a lube tune.
Anschutz barrels have a the reputation of being accurate and this rifle has a locking lever along the lines of the HW35.
When I got it the stock showed the usual scrapes and dings of an older gun and I just can't leave well enough alone.
I was given a front sight as it was missing, and refinished the stock. All the metal was perfect, no rust so the German blue is almost black.
Hope you like it.
