20 Caliber Blue Streak Pump Up Air Rir Rifles.

 The Sheridan rocker safety air rifle I have has Blue Streak stamped on the left side of the action and Racine Wis stamped on the rifle. The newer  20 Cal models I have made by Crosman  in New York state  only has  has C9 and C9A  stamped on them but the are referred to as Blue Streak. The C9 has a tang safety and three of the C9A models also have tang safeties. The last two I got  stamped C9A have the safety in trigger guard.  What years were the changes made in the Crossman  Blue Streak model 20 caliber air rifles ?

"Crosman Corp. bought Benjamin/Sheridan in 1992 and moved the manufacturing facility from Racine to East Bloomfield, NY. Production of the C9-SERIES continued under the Benjamin/Sheridan name. In 1995 a removable cartridge valve assembly replaced the long time soldered in valve body. A new trigger/cross safety assembly was incorporated into the design in 1997. These later models are designated C9A-SERIES."

My C9  tang safety rifle was made June 1994 S/N 6947XXXXX. The C9A s  with tang safety fist four numbers S/N 4967 - Mfg April 1996, and S/N 1977XXXXX -Mfg Jan 1997. My safety in trigger guard rifles S/N 1st 4 # s 6097 Mfg June 2009 and 4107 Mfg April 2010.  I need to look for the book about air rifles.   An other question. Are some air rifles have Benjamin/Sheridan stamped on them ?

I believe the rifles from 1995 to 1997 are referred to as C9A Phase I. C9A Phase II refers to the rifles with the trigger guard safety introduced in 1997. Since we are talking Blue Streak here, the proper model designation would be CB9 and CB9A. Or C9-SERIES / C9A-SERIES.

Yes, some have Benjamin/Sheridan stamped on them. I have a 1996 F9A-SERIES that is stamped Benjamin/Sheridan on the left front of the air tube. I don't believe any pre-Crosman rifles were stamped Benjamin/Sheridan though.

Thanks 20 Cal.  The model numbers were not stamped on my  five 20 Cal rifles made in E. Bloomfield, NY..  Only -C 9- SERIES and -C9A - SERIES  were stamped  on the left side of the pump tube below the bolt action receiver.  Only the C 9 has -BENJAMIN-SHERDIAN- stamped an the right side  below the bolt action receiver with E.BLOOMFEILD, NY. The other two tang safety rifles made in 1996 and 1997 has -C9A- stamped on them but BENJAMIN SHERIDAN is on the muzzle end of the pump tube.  The two safety in the trigger guard rifles stamped -C9A- made in 2009 and 2010  has CROSMAN CORP. on the muzzle end of the pump tube.  So I have three different 20 caliber models made by Crosman Corp in NY state.
