Hey guys, I am a new member. I am about to delve in and buy my first pellet gun. Found your site by googling, if thats a word looking for good info on the different types of guns there are.Right now I'm thinking a pcp rifle would fit my needs. I want to target shoot and teach my grandson about fire arms.

Hi, and welcome to the GTA.  A lot of the guys here are "into" PCP rifles.  They're known as Darksiders.  I think the Benjamin Discovery kit is the least expensive entry vehicle, though you could check with Mike Melick at Flying Dragon Air Rifles, too.

Thomas, Dave, Richard and Tom, Thanks for the great welcome. I guess I'm gonna go to the dark side but I will be using a hand pump.Does that lighten it up a little bit,LOL. I'm still not shire what rifle to buy but I can't get a certain Air Arms carbine out of my head. Even though it will be a real challenge to pay for. Any thoughts on that gun? And Tom ounce I get in to this new passion a little bit maybe we can get together, I live in Williamstown [Cecil].     Yikes, spell check can't even help me.

Be forewarned in NJ air rifles are treated as regular firearms and you are required to jump through the government hoops to get one...
