What's the best C02 pistol you've ever shot, and why?

My two friends had a neighbor who was cleaning out his basement.
He gave one of them a Daisy Model 200, and the other, a Daisy
pump rifle.
In my opinion, the best C02 pistol I ever shot was the Daisy Model 200.
We shot that thing for 3 years. It was powerful and accurate, up to about
10 yards. It must have been hitting at 400+fps. Although it was only BBs,
it was sure fun.
It had a very short click of a trigger.
The funny thing is, that my friend's gun never leaked.
I think I bought like 3 of them, and they all eventually leaked.
I'd say the Crosman 600 is the 2nd best C02 pistol I ever shot, only because
you have to stop and reload it after the pellet chamber is empty.
The Daisy 200, held 200 BBs.
You would push up on a tab and point the gun up, then you could
shoot 5 shots as fast as you wanted.
It only took 2 seconds to load in the next 5.
I'd say the 3rd best was the Crosman Mark I, II, but
they were single shot. Powerful and accurate, though.
Very nice pistols.
I had a crazy idea a few years ago. I thought I would buy up a lot of
old Daisy 200s and fix/reseal them, and make a fortune.
I bought a used/beater one and took it apart.
I looked at that thing for weeks, trying different things, but
there was no way I could find, to make it reliable.
It's got an integral valve system that you really can't take apart.
I gave up on my idea.
Daisy came out with a model 1200 after the 200, but it wasn't as good.
Unfortunately with C02 guns, most of them end up leaking.

the best C02 gun that i have tried is by far the crosman 150. It is not that big, but feels sizable. it is not that fast, but powerful enough withing 15 yards to dispatch a critter, and is the most efficient, no frills design that i have ever encountered. Number 2 is gotta be the S&W 78G. so cool. tuned right is divine to shoot. just a PITA to work on.

I also had a Daisy 200 when I was a kid. I agree it was fun to shoot, but mine also started leaking when it was about 2 years old. I recently acquired a Crosman 600, which I restored and also added a longer barrel to make it look and shoot a little better. It is my current favorite.

I had a Crosman 157 for awhile (.177 version of the 150). I agree with what was said about those--such a simple, straightforward, beautifully balanced, accurate, and reliable gun you just HAD to love it. Really sorry I parted with that one.
That being said, I recently acquired a Sheridan HB 20. A very similar-looking gun, equally well-made, nice trigger, lighter and slimmer than the 150, and seems to stretch the gas a lot farther. It's growing on me very quickly!
Had a Crosman 600 for awhile. A lot of fun but loud, mechanically complex, and not the greatest accuracy. Great for grins but ultimately not for me.
But the BEST CO2 pistol I've ever had is the Hammerli Master target pistol from the 1970's. A true match gun with superb adjustable trigger and sights, gorgeously made and finished, amazingly accurate, and some ingenious features. Not a ton of power but will shoot all day on one cartridge. IMHO the very best pistol ever designed for the classic 12-gram CO2 cartridge.

even though my opinion is listed above, i forgot to add the one i shoot the most.... That would be a Tom cat from Crooked barn. If you have never shot one, you wouldn't understand. But since is not a production gun, and is based on the 2240, which is a derivative from the 150, i dont think it counts... but what a pistol. 575 fps with 14.3 crosman's prems... 25 shots, then dump on the last. under 1 inch at 25 yards from a bag. And Balls enough to unhinge the lid of a squirrel out to 30 yards.

Hey SOCEY6000,
I did have a Crosman 38T Target CO2 .177 Cal. pellet pistol for about thirty years - fun to shoot - had a 6-shot rotating cylinder. Sold it last year to get some funds to help purchase a new air rifle.
Good shooting,
Daniel

The On-Eyed Gator
During the late 1960s I lived in a suburb of Orlando called Maitland. This was before Disney, and during the Apollo days at The Cape. I had recently purchased a Daisy BB pistol that was powered by of all things - a CO2 cartridge (which was mostly used then for powering model cars). I don't remember the Daisy model number.
While out on our local lake in our small ski boat and fishing with my two young boys, we noticed a ripple in the water. Thinking it to be a school of fish we slowly followed the ripple, but when it got close to the far shore - near an orange grove - a very large alligator surfaced and crawled ashore, turned around and faced us. Boat stopped, and we both glared at each other.
Fortunately I was armed with my trusty Daisy CO2 BB pistol.
Being young, dumb, and wanting to impress my two young sons, I took careful aim at the gator's eye - and fired. One perturbed gator lunged towards our small craft, and I executed a fast reverse into deeper water and quickly pointed our boat away. I think the gator went the other way. But from then on, we were always concerned about the one-eyed gator in that lake when ever we skied and swam there.
Three moves later found us located here in Oregon where we now live. I don't remember what happened to that pistol but in the 1970s I purchased another Daisy Co2 BB pistol which is proudly displayed in the pistol rack above my garage workbench. And it still works - but I haven't found any gators here in Oregon!

Well Ive shot some pumpers and CO2 pistols mainly for hunting purposes so it had to have the power and the accuracy. First was the Sheridan HB20 pumper. Great build quaility ,so/so trigger , excellent accuracy and power.Sold it becaseu the ergonomics of that short stroke was too hard to enjoy alot of shooting. 480fps with a CP. Next was the Crosman 112 bulkfill CO2.Dynamite gun, light and deadly accurate with plenty of power-535fps with a Superdome.Sold it becaseu I got tired of the extra support items and weighing the gun alot.Did shoot near 40 full power shots if you got a good fill. Next was the Crosman 13XX which I hopped up to a whopping 550fps with a Superdome -stock length barrel. Good accuracy, good trigger and great power. Sold it convinced I just didnt want to pump pistols anymore . Now I have 2 CO2 Classics that I think are going to stay becaseu of the CO2 cartridge convenience and thats my 9" barrel MKI/LD and the TEd Williams 150 (now being hotvalved). I dont want to scope them and have a millett open sight on the LD and I have a tiny Micro fully adjustable rear sight waiting for the 150 when it comes back. Great triggers, good power, great accuracy ,with the LD being a bit larger and heavier than the packable 150 but steadier on the shot.

Crosman 112 .22 caliber. Accurate, bulk fill with 70 shots per fill. I inherited it from my father who bought it new in about 1958. Last year I rebuilt it with all new seals. It is a real gem with lots of memories of shooting it back in the 50s and 60s. Now it is my "go to" pistol for squirrels and rats and occasional target shooting with open sights.
