My new Walther LGV ....what would you do?

Update! Told you folks I'd keep you in the loop, that's what I'm doing. Umarex exchanged my LGV with a new one. As it was delivered yesterday afternoon in a snowstorm, all I did was take it out of the box and let it get up to room temperature overnight. This morning I'll take the stock off and wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth to remove any condensation, then wipe down with a lint free cloth sprayed with Rem-Oil. Blue locktite the stock screws, clean the barrel, and put the scope on. Haven't fired a shot through it yet.

Well, I got about 150 pellets thru it this morning..........same pronounced spring buzzzzz. Looks like it's the nature of the beast.    Will continue to put pellets thru it and see how it breaks in. Aside from the buzzzzz..... really nice, love the way the barrel locks up, solid, precise, screams quality. Will keep you posted.

Update! I decided to send it to Motorhead for a little TLC. Try and resolve the spring buzzzzz, maybe tweak the trigger.

Got the LGV back last Saturday from Motorhead, now has no spring buzz and he also did the trigger upgrade. Loooong first stage reduced by half. I have a couple hundred pellets thru it, looks like it's going to be exceptionally accurate. I'll keep puttin' pellets thru it, seems to shoot several different pellets well. So far I really like this LGV.

  That's cool, I'm glad to hear that you got it sorted out.

  Mine developed a slight bit of buzz, but after continuing to shoot, it went away after another tin of pellets or so.
  Whether it stays in shape remains to be seen, but in any case if it acts back up off it goes for the same treatment.........

Glad to hear she is behaving better ... The low vibration tune should be LONG LASTING being set up with very light lubrication and NO tar what so ever.  Should also be very tolerant of temperature swings

Hi all, I have only had my Challenger in .177 a few weeks and only 50 or so shots through it. Funny I noticed a light buzz twang after the first few shots but put that down to being a good ol' springer and thought it may settle down after a bit of use. Took her out this morning for a few shots and no twang at all, just a light thump. She is still bang on target at 20 yards, and I'm off to the 25 yard range tomorrow night to give her a good work out, will be very interesting. Had to tighten the stock and trigger screws this morning which needed a quarter turn to nip them up but didn't go hard on them. My neighbour came over this morning and looked at a tin can I had been punishing and after looking at the holes punched in it with Baracuda Power thought it was a .22..YEEAH!
