Just recently found this forum. Decided to get back into using my Air Rifles. The availability and cost of Ammo for my other guns has become
very costly, and difficult to obtain. My friends and I spend most weekends on a large parcel of private property target shooting and having fun.
Shooting holes in paper is much more economical using an Air Rifle as opposed to my other Pistols and Rifles.
This looks like a great site for information and discussions.

Ammo prices have driven many to air guns, but you will find your self spending much more time and money on your BB guns than you thought....

Thanks TomCat,
I know what you mean. When we shoot our big guns we usually go through a few hundred rounds in a session. That gets pretty pricey. Problem
today is finding replacements. There is a shortage everywhere.
This is what I love about Pellets.

Welcome from another newbie.
Like you, the availability of firearms ammo, and it's price drove me to air guns. I also wanted to maintain and improve my weapons handling ability. We still maintain an adequate supply of personal defense firearms as well.
Within several months I had accumulated the arsenal shown below. I intend to sell/dispose of them over the next year and purchase more expensive and better quality weapons. Fewer but better.
My favorite right now is a Russian built air rifle called the IZH-60. It is small, side lever cocking, light, and most of all very accurate and has a marvelous trigger. Plus it is inexpensive. My grandchildren generally select it also as their favorite as well.
Welcome.
