Rifle Balance - RWS 34 vs. 48

I have heard the 48 balances well, even though it's heavier than the 34.  I am struggling to "like" the muzzle heavy feeling in my new 34.

Does the 48 balance better than the 34, despite the extra weight?

Heck Yes.  And it feels more like a carbine than the long barrel B/Bbl

My 48 has a neutral balance but the 34 hangs nice also.being used to smallbore match rifles the heavy front end of the 34 doesn't bug me.

D48 is a very well balanced feeling carbine.  I miss the three I have already sold!

I'm trying to wrap my head around this one.  My 54, unscoped, balances surprisingly well and is heavier than a 48, but I can certainly tell the difference in heft going from the 54 to the 34!  In fact, out of most of my break barrels, the two 34's, one scoped and one bare, are kind of on the light side compared to my 320 (R9 clone) and some others.  The 34's seem to hang well offhand, too.  The only guns I have lighter and close in power are my Norica Storm and the Beeman RS2 clone.  Still, not by much.  If I had to tote a gun afield all day, it would be the 34, hands down.  Scope a 48 and see what I mean.

For sure Red, the 48 is more weighty than the 34.  My 34p unscoped is long, but not too heavy... My 54 is heavy unscoped, but doesn't feel as "nose heavy" as the 34 Panther did.  I stuffed the butt of the 34 making it less nose heavy, but just about as overall heavy as my 54, but with better balance for offhand shooting.

id have to second that redfeather . my 460 balances well but almost as heavy as my 54. a 34 is a great all around gun in my opinion. if I had to choose 1 pellet gun only id say my 34 in 22 t0-5 .it pops up nicely and don't seem nose heavy
