Xisico 60C first look

The new 60C's are in. Look nice and the stock rifles shoot well. The valve now has a synthetic body with slots cut for more flow while the brass head has two orings to get rid of the leaks they had in the past and work well. The exhaust port is much smaller to increase shot count without slowing it down. The one problem found is with the new safety, it limits the amount of adjustment for the trigger unless you make a small change to it. There are two tabs, one is for the sear to move the safety to safe when the rifle is cocked, the other is to hold the trigger so it can't be moved when the rifle is on safe. If you adjust the trigger for less sear engagement it will not cock correctly. Removing the safety is not a problem so if you wish to get that hair trigger you can but.....then no safety other than what's between your ears. I will be looking at this and see if there is an easy way to adjust the safety so it still works and allows another setting for the trigger so there isn't so much creep, when polished and lubed it's not bad the way it is but the trigger Nazi's will want it better. The trigger case is synthetic, will need to watch fit in the stock so it doesn't get squeezed wihen in use,.
With a tune the .22 will do 700 fps with 14 gr. pellets, slightly better than the QB-78. The test mule is doing 720 with Gamo hunters. The slots in the valve body need to be opened more, the head of the valve reshaped, exhaust port opened, a spacer added to the spring and the ports in the barrel opened to get this power level.
The cocking is smooth right out of the box and the bolt is nice and while not tight is snug. If you would want to relube the bolt and striker do not use moly grease, moly doesn't like aluminum. Use something like superlube or a good synthetic grease on the bolt and a non detergent oil on the striker. The power adjuster is still there but doesn't do to much other than fine tune the fps. A small spacer on the spring will make a big gain in fps, I have been using Delrin. A 5/16 round cut about 1/2 inch long and reduced to fit the spring makes a big gain possible. I haven't had time to try a steel one but will do so as time goes by to see if that will get even more, have my doubts as the spring is light.
The fiber optic sights work well if you like them, if not then it's scope time. The rear sight will need to be removed for scope use, remove vertical adjustment thumb wheel and remove the two Phillips screws holding the sight.
I think they have gotten it right this time around, just have to see how it holds up under use and see what the customers think.

Thanks for the detailed review, Mike. I like what I am hearing and I like the styling of it. Will be watching closely regarding bulk fill. Really interested in an HPA conversion with a Ninja bottle. Do you expect it to be as easy as a QB79 or will it need a drop block? The tube looks close to the barrel in the photo.

So I am assuming the tube I.D. of the 60c and the QBs are different.

Keep us updated on the drop block. That sounds like the first upgrade I need to purchase.

Any update on the drop block or bulk fill cap? My rifle came in last Monday but I haven't gotten to shoot it very much yet. I pulled it straight out of the box put two cartridges in and hit everything I was aiming at and I never even touched the sights. Thanks again Mike!

it will be some time before the factory can get around to making the parts if they decide to do so, for bulk fill you can use the QB-78 cap, just have to remove the big o-ring from it...

Don't see a price for this on your website, what would the X60C cost in .177? Are they in stock?

prices will be as follows
XS-60C .177 and .22
factory stock $120.00
basic tune $155
full power tune $220
Listed under News/Anoucements
Check with Mike I think the price includes shipping to the 48 US states. Had to pay $40 more to Hawaii. Shipping prices have sure gone crazy.

Thank you Mike. The bulk fill option interests me and I am considering one of them. Tough choice now with the 700 speed and as long as it was not 10 shots i am ok .. lol
Thanks again
