I really like the looks of the current Mustang.
A tip of the hat to my favorite year of their manufacture: 1966, with the fastback

I like fast cars but they really get me in trouble. Have owned several Mustangs. V-8s only. Also had Hemi- Cuda 1970. An un-real beast. Mustang that I lliked the best? 1969 Mach 1. Wish I still had that car.

I like the look of the new 'Stangs too.
About a month ago, I was waiting at my local Ford dealer for my car to be serviced. I was looking at the new, white Shelby Mustang they had in the show room.
I started day-dreaming back to 1971. If I'd had another $1000.00 saved up by the time I got home from Basic Training I would have bought my dream car, a Shelby GT350 in green.
As I looked at the motor, I noticed the top of the motor had large letters "Wieand" cast into it. Then I noticed the wide drive belt of the supercharger. Slowly it hit me ... with the improvements in tires, suspensions, and brakes, this thing must be an animal compared to those early Shelby's .....
Not the Shelby I was dreaming of,...but I wouldn't kick it out of my garage !

Nice looking cars, ... I remember when you could buy a new "bare bones" 6 cylinder Mustang for $1999.00, and it was bare bones. Shortly after that, - you could buy the "real thing", brand new for $2495.00, and it was a different car.
