Crosman/Gamo conversion????

ok so lets imagine the following. 

I go buy a brand new Titan GP..... any caliber... cheapest place i can... i'm basically buying the ram.  Will it fit in a gamo? without having to massively machine the tophat?  yes i know i can send it in to PA for 110 bucks... but where's teh fun in that.

I would think the gamo's piston stroke could not be any shorter than the titans

You will not need the tophat that go's into the Gamo since the ram shaft will be in there and sitting at the bottom of the piston. The only thing is that there should be a dimple down in the piston for the end of the ram shaft to sit into or the end may just move around a cause the ram to bind and cant against the inside of the piston.
