Welcome OG I am a newbee to. I ordered my steel breech kit on the 18th and got it in the 24th. The 24" barrel I ordered at the same time must be back ordered? I have received no e-mails letting me know whats up with my barrel. It took me a little over two hours to install the breech,a .22/air gun to weaver rail, and my TruGlo red dot sight. I'm still working on zero. Railbuggy
Hi GregYou are correct 2400-102 is an 18 inch .22 cal barrel and 2300-121 is the break with a sight pin.a standard sight is 788-101 as far as I know Crosman does not make a metal barrel band. you can get a nice one from blue fork design here on the forum.Ed
My 24" barrel arrived at 20:00 hours today OG.Took 9 days to get the barrel. Only 6 on the steel breech.

The 2300-121 brake is black and will fit on the 2400-102 barrel, yes?
"Stuffing the piston"? Boy howdy, have I got a lot to learn. For instance, I haven't a clue what you're talking about.

For instance, I haven't a clue what you're talking about. i think that there is another name for it. the one i remember was done with drill bits and epoxy...i think. what it accomplished is that it took the flex out of the plastic piston. tranlating into better performance. i remember( lol) about maybe 2 weeks ago someone was talking about a similar procedure that yeilded better performance than a flat top set -up. look up piston modifications for 13xx platform. you'll find more in your searches if you look for 13xx instead of 2289. if i can find that info i'll shoot it your way.peacekj
We'll get there OG. My 24" barrel got installed yesterday at 9PM, and I had to wait for light to zoom in my reddot. Working on it now. At 30 feet I'm hitting 1"rt & .5"high. Might be my 60 year old wobble.
