Need help choosing scope

I've come down to 3 choices for my Trail NP .22. I want to upgrade from its 3-9x40 to some thing up to 16 maybe less like 12 or 14 zoom. I'm looking for the extra zoom for hunting and target shooting 20 yards and up. The current 3-9 scopes on both my rifles are good but would love to have the extra zoom. Especially on the critters. Here are my 3 I've come down too: CENTER POINT ADVENTURE CLASS 4-16X40 AO, LEAPERS 4-16X50 FULL SIZE AO, LEAPERS UTG 1" 4-16X40 AO TRUE HUNTER IE. Any reviews on these or input appreciated, Thanks!

centerpoint 416x40 with AO is inexpensive at walmart

i have been happy with mine for less than $70 (as i recall)

The Center point 4x16x40 from Wally world is a good scope for the money I have four I think and no problems.

My input is buy from Walmart any time you can, you'll have the option of a cost free return virtually anytime the scope should give out.  Just saw that Centerpoint there the other night.  Keep the packaging and you'll be good for a return as long as they're still stocking the model.  That alone would sew up the decision for me.

theres also trying the price match thing on Hawke Varmint Series Scopes on SWFA with Buds Gun Shop as a reference, or going straight to Buds, though i hear it may be a while before SWFA gets any 4-16 and 6-24 Hawke Varmints in stock.

IIRC, that rifle can be a hard shooting rifle.  May wanna check that before going with low priced scopes with high magnification. Same with your mounting system.

the CP 4-16X40AO is heavy, it get's white-ish looking at high mag settings and the front AO is a pain compared to a side adjuster....but it's also about 1/2 the cost of a UTG side adjuster too.

using a BKL one piece was suggested for mounting that scope on a Benji Titan GP .22..

if you can afford the the 2 leapers you mentioned i'll highly recommend finding another $5 - $15 dollars and get the Leapers UTG 30mm AccuShot 4-16x44 . better optics and side focus . i got the 4-16 CP from wally world and the view and mil-dot looked fine to me (but i'm new to scopes) but i hated the front AO ! love love love the SWAT on my 30mm AccuShot 4-16x44 with the swat wheel .

I'm personally with D14Jeff.   Also look at the 3-12x44 SWAT compact.  With the Accushots,,,You'll get a tougher scope with a tougher and larger 30mm tube, and better optics than the cheaper 4-16x  1" tubed Centerpoint scope.
Worth it for hard shooters.   PS:  Mildot system is based on 10x.
