Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper ?

Is the gamo bone collector in either caliber a good, accurate, and powerful ? Can the gun be easily tuned ? IS the gun overall worth the money ? If you have it can you post or PM me a review. Please add chrony numbers, targets of accuracy, etc. Can the accuracy be tuned and possibly the power.

itemized answers:

1. Good? Maybe, it seems to me the store brand cheaper guns can be very hit or miss. 
2. Accurate?  Very dependent on a lot of things (see above) also find the right pellet, educate yourself on all shooting basics and practices, educate on spring gun tactics and do your part it should be accurate.
3. Powerful?  Gamo is known for overstating their guns fps ratings, whatever 1000+ rating it has is taken from the highest speed they were able to achieve EVER with that model with PBA alloy pellets (junk).
4. Tuneable? The gun can be easily tuned if you have the knowledge and tools to do so.  I just built a spring compressor today and looked at my big cat and it looks easier to remove the spring than the other two guns I plan to tune.
5. Worth the coin?  Overall I feel Gamo's guns are overpriced for what they are IMO.  But they're throwing in a free slingshot and pellet trap on Airgundepot with it.
6. Accuracy tuning?  A good tune should benefit accuracy and you can do things like ensure the crown is perfect and the lead in and everything functions perfect.  Replacing the stock trigger with a CDT trigger will help LOTS with accuracy IMO. 
7. Power?  As for power I'd just buy a gun in the power range I want and be done but you can always look for spring replacement and Vortek kits and such.

Most Gamo's suffer from a few minor issues and one major one (Trigger's stink).....

Most are pretty good out of the box unless they were over lubed and continue to diesel after a few shots...

Most are based off of the basic B-19 frame and carry about 12~14fpe which is good for small game...

I would advise one to not purchase a rifle called "Bull Whisper" from a company that's famous for overstating their goods.  It seems that they are just openly mocking the uninformed public with that play on words.   

Please don't take me too seriously......I know nothing about either of these rifles, but I think someone in their marketing department should be slapped.

I thoroughly enjoyed that comically delivered "pointing out" of what does seem to be a blatant mockery to the mass consumers.  It had in fact struck me initially as a complete oxymoron upon first hearing it but I never gave it that much thought before. lol

Like Al pointed out, the triggers are the biggest issue with them.  Some triggers are good outta the box, some triggers are just long & rough.  But, add The GRT trigger it's cheap ($35), and easy to drop in, and you'll have a great deal

Mike, not taking you seriously as requested but I see this statement a lot. Slapped or promoted LOL

Gamo may overstate their numbers, most likely there is someone at Gamo who has got close to the advertised # with an ultra light pellet and the marketing guys round up to the 100s.
Two things you need to know:
1) The GTA is not the center of the AG universe and Gamo knows this.  They advertise to sell guns to the masses, walk into box or chain sporting good store and you'l see what I'm talking about. Overstated FPS is not a reason for a reasonable person NOT to buy a Gamo.  We at the GTA know that those #s aren't meant for us because for the most part we have been educated.

2) Most Gamos are based on one action and the fancy names and looks are just different dress.  They make #14-15 FPE in 17 and 16-17 FPE in 22 cal. While they are not the most powerful guns out there they do have the best power/weight by far. They are great lightweight hunters and plinkers.  Does it matter what is written on the box if you're looking for a gun in this power and cost range?

Face it.  They will never state FPE numbers on the box.  FPE is dull and boring compared to FPS.  Big power! 15 fpe!  or  1100 fps! if you're 15 which would you pick?

If you like the features, name, look or whatever buy it!

Well you're half way there, protection of your Gamos not needed but that enjoyment half is priceless.
   
I have 3 rifles Quest/Whisper/HW50s and feel no need for protection program. I feel as long as I'm the one supporting them with proper pellets, nobody else's business.

I was thinking of naming my FT rifle the "Bone Whisperer". 

I hope no one points out the ridiculous name I'm choosing and suggests any sort of pun......because my daughter had a great time shooting it the other day and she could be devastated.     Yes.....that is pure sarcasm. 

I enjoy levity and sarcasm.........and I'm glad at least one person was able to appreciate it for exactly what it was intended to be.

I guess they (Gamo or anyone) shouldn't use the term "bull" in the  name of a product.  I may have over reacted a bit based on the endless posts on the subject which tend to wear on ones mental health.
