Well it irks me a tad that they would bother to put 22 on the description. Any airgun scope mount would (I think) surely handle any 22 out there. But that's me with my me, me, me attitude. I suppose people that own 22 caliber PB rifles have the right to buy scope mounts to. My Bad.

they just put that in the description because airguns and .22 rimfires both use the small dovetail rail

as opposed to the larger picatinny or weaver rail

Evidently they did not know that the Bulb was reading the description and needed help.

Well I did measure from end of Panorama scope on HW (12.7 inches) and there is 2.25 inches to breech, so this morning I did some shooting and practised opening and closing the gun without touching any of the scope area needed and it's a done deal. The Whisper might be a tad smaller.

Not yet it's on backorder. You will get a report cause if I trip stumble fall I may need help getting up.

Had a small personal victory, a while back I tried to mount scope on Quest and it was a total fiasco.

Got her done today after some scope centering (counting all the clicks etc) never done that before.

At 15 feet in some gusty conditions it did the job wanted. Last 6 in ctr, more tweaking when wind stops.

Oh, I have digressed a bit. You were referring to my "trip, stumble, fall" That was a mental program not physical. Mentally I do a lot of the TSF stuff and 1 step forward 3 mental steps backward.

Hey Bulb....
This should be a bit of encouragement ....Curiosity got to me......So I took the Eclipse off my 48 used some Hawke 2pc High rings and set it on my Longbow ( same size as the 50 except BBl length) No  problem...just depends on the length of your neck I guess.

Well not sure but it may be here this week. I have a mount but don't have a clue as to whether it is proper mount. Got to have scope here first. If scope does come this week I will have interesting tale to spin.

Other news is I have 750 pellets through HW50 and I can find nothing wrong with this little beauty.

Other news is I have 750 pellets through HW50 and I can find nothing wrong with this little beauty.

Yep I love my 50......It's so much better with the JM kit VS the Vertek....My next project is a new 50s Chop-N-choke the barrel , JM kit plus some other stuff and Viola!  50s Carbine that shoots like feathers and dead on the money......

Yes, but don't think that's is what spins Petey's wheels. You just read what he's postin and you can tell the work he put's in is strictly "a labor of love", and then he gets to shoot his work.

I don't know whether it's exactly the same but a personally trained bird dog on point and you flush the  bird and shoot it. Well with me the killing of the bird was strictly to reward the dog. My main goal was  training the dog and watching him handle a wily old pheasant. Can't really explain it, but it just don't get better than that.

Not into it.....had a TX200 .....too heavy for my messed up shoulders...hated loading  and cocking it.
But it was the best made AG I have ever put to the shoulder.

Yes it sounds like another one of those age adjustments that pop up expected or most of the time unexpected which ever comes 1st.

Yes, I am gonna try new scope on Whisper 1st, I figure if the mount I have works with the Gamo all will be good, I can put it on the 50. If not I will get a BKL mount.

It certainly is one of the adjustments......four shoulder surgeries later...five possibly(we'll know later) Some things just don't work like they used too.  Most of the PB's are off the menu as well. That's why I like my air guns nice -n - easy shootin. Of course the 48 is a pussycat of a cannon.

May I suggest a pair of Hawke high rings....they won't slip..cost less than the BKL's, very well made.
