Crosman 600 Longer Barrel

I finally received my new valve stem and got my Crosman 600 to hold air and shoot (and yes, Crosman 600's are too fun!).  My question:  does anyone make a longer barrel than the standard 5" one?

Ron at Bryan & Associates should be able to hook you up with a barrel from 7" to 23" long. Good mod if you plan to install and LDC>

Thanks, I will check that out.  FYI - as with many Crosman pellet guns, my pistol has a particular preference for pellets. It does NOT like any kind of wadcutters, but does just fine on Benjamin .22 Domed (which I was told are the same as Crosman Premiers).

Congrats on gettin her to go pop.   I just got to disassembling mine today and didn't make it too far.  I can't get the cam out of mine right now, not sure what to do.

Mac1 used to offer custom HW barrels for the 600's, some even with a LDC.  Might check there too.  Otherwise its just a matter of finding a barrel and having it machined to fit the gun.  Well, plus making that barrel work well in that gun.  Congrats on getting it working again.  These can be really finicky and easy to screw up.

When you say you can't get the cam out, I assume you mean the thing that moves the pellet from the magazine to the barrel?  There are 2 set screws (one on top of another) that hold the cam to the twisted rod that rotates when the hammer moves in and out.  Once you remove the set screws, use a needle-noze pliers to pull the twisted rod out the back.  The cam should fall out - unless there is a pellet jammed in there!

That was the hold up.  I've never seen two set screws in the same hole before.  No idea what the purpose of that is.  She's on her way to a full strip down now.  This gun is FILTHY!  Thanks brother.

I'm glad that worked.  Nice to have another 600 fan to bounce ideas off.  Here's something else I learned by trial and error.  The hammer has an o-ring on the inside that slides over the rear end of the valve.  I replaced this o-ring with one that gave me a "snug" fit.  I could cock the gun, pull the trigger, and .......nothing.  I correctly concluded that the o-ring seal was too tight, which resulted in the hammer not hitting the valve stem hard enough.  I replaced the 0-ring with one that barely touched the valve, and BLAM it worked great.
