I sent an email to crosman as I bought severalo tins of cphp's at walmart that was bent, had`a lot of junk in the tin. I just got a conformation new pellets are being sent to me free. I sent a reply askin what to do with the bad pellets, destroy them. I guess they will still have a customer. I wanted to return them but I suppose the freight is more than they are worth. thank you crosman and kevin Snyder . at least they listened and did something .

I believe these companies are realizing the power of this GTA forum. With one post, thousands of air rifle shooters will know if the company is standing behind their products. Thank you air rifle shooters and GTA.
Gamo replaced a can of pellets for me last week and I told them I would be sure to mention it here. So here it is AGAIN!

This just my personal feelings on Publicly airing such stuff ....
That some folks lacking in scruples and knowing right from wrong will read such things, contact manufacture claiming damages or like complaints looking to get Free product when they actually don't have the product or issues with it.
Happens all the time anyways ... just airing "Got Free Replacements W/O a return request" makes me shake my head.
It is a GREAT thing manufactures stand behind there products and do these Good Will replacements !!! ... just talking about it not so much

Please understand that it goes both way with me. I speak the truth if they are good and the same if they are not good.
In this situation, I feel GAMO did good so I said it.

I know there are people who will "contact manufacture claiming damages or like complaints looking to get Free product when they actually don't have the product or issues with it". I can be concerned about them and their ethics.
I do what I do and this is who I am.

Thanks for posting, Robert. I see Scott's point but I believe there will always be plenty of thieves who try for the "free stuff" anyway. I expect from a manufacturers point of view that they would love to see the good news put out there that they are a company that will stand behind their product. Their increase in sales from the good advertisement of ethical business practices will outweigh the cost of the thieves.
I see both sides of this but for the practical purposes of this forum, it is a very good thing to let other shooters know of the good and ethical airgun businesses out there. That kind of information makes the GTA such a great resource of all airgun shooters.

If (a big if) you are going to distroy those Crosman pellets, throw them towards Fairfield, California. I will take them, shoot and have a good ol' time.

Robert, Am I the only one who after washing CPHP and flaring the skirts get
a lower ES and SD? Not much but sure seems like it makes it a better pellet.
Trust me I can use all the help I can get.

I think Crosman can do more to improve Qualty Assurance IMO.
The last Crosman tin I purchased was 3 years ago. It was a CPHP .22cal tin 500 count (from WM). It had numerous .20cal pellets in it that would fall out of the barrel, and others had smaller diameter heads or skirts than .22" but not quite .20. Inconsistency in accuracy was immediately evident even with the ones that fit fine in the breech. The 2 tins of CPHP from previous years were way better. They were actually tack drivers in some of my guns. Then all of a sudden the last 2 new tins gave me almost shotgun patterns..
I also experienced similar issues with the last box of the more expensive brown box Crosman Premier (CP) .22 I purchases, which costs 3x more $ than CPHP. That was about 3.5yrs ago. It also had pellets with a slightly smaller head diameter, and gave me too many fliers. I did not experience any of this with the CP box before that I got in 2008, and the one from 2007. I stopped buying Crosman pellets about 3yrs ago and I shoot exclusively JSB and H&N/Beeman, and some RWS. I will start buying Crosman ammo again, if and when they get their act together, and produce uniform pellets with the accuracy and consistency they once had. I know they can make very accurate ammo, they just need to make at least 9 out of 10 pellets, or 19 out of 20 in the tin shoot the same, not 6 out of 10. When they get close to JSB's uniformity and QC/QA, then I will start using Crosman pellets again.

I will make sinkers out of them. it be wrong to do any shooting with them. I wanted to return them as I feel like they should be but freight is more than just tossing them id say. I don't want a bunch to just start askin if they can get more because they see a freebie. I like some said above am pointing out how well I was treated and am recommending us buying from a supplier and manufacturer who treats us like we should be . I am against abusing any company . but my point crosman listened and responded so I am advertising on great customer service

I do not think it is a "secret" that manufacturers replace bad ammo. Shooters contact them all the time. In fact the manufacturers WANT to KNOW if bad ammo (or pellets) is leaving their factory and correct a problem in their manufacturing or QA/QC process, or a defect or design flaw. They want people to continue purchasing their products. They don't want people tossing their product in the garbage and buy someone else's. I had a couple of Winchester Super-X 30-30 boxes several years ago that had several duds. I called Winchester and they sent me new ones. They said they knew of the problem after I gave them the lot# off the box. They did not ask for the boxes or the duds back.

The only issue I've had with Crosman pellets is how quickly they cause buildup due to their "dirty" coatings. Otherwise I've found em to be pretty much the same as most other brands. They work well in some guns, others not so much. Uniformity has been average and damage has been low for me.

I have to put in my two cents here...
Scott is right about peeps filing false info. And yes there is alway two sides to every story. We are just lucky that Crosman takes care of the good, bad and ugly. Just hope they never change their policy.
But I must say this though, that the pellets that Crosman distributes to the Wally World stores in such are the poorest of the poorest pellets that they produce. Bottom of the barrel sort of speak. You never see Crosman distribute any of there brown boxed domed pellets. Those are the best IMO that Crosman has to offer but just not available in retail stores.
And yes all Crosman pellets are dirty and leave allot of lead deposits, but that is why we have bore cleaners...
I can normally get up to 3000 shots off with Crosman pellets in a rifle before I have to clean the barrel. And yes if you shoot allot just look at the lead deposits from them on your fingers...
That is why they sell soap...
But all in all the Crosman top of the line pellets have always been a good choice for me and they work great in most of my shooters.
