Solution for long reach to trigger on HW97???

Hi guys and gals. I am fortunate enough to own both a TX200 and HW 97. Both are great rifles and seem to shoot equally well. However, I do like the feel of the TX better due to the fact it is a shorter reach to the trigger from the pistol grip. Has anyone tried a setback trigger or know of another fix for the HW97 that will make it a shorter reach?
PS: Should have googled it first.
Doesn't look like it would be difficult to make. Guess I'll go that route.

You should give Tim Einck a shout he makes nice stuff including set back triggers. timein420@hotmail.com all my HW's wear one, and his sight cover plate, and his extended bronze safety. The safety I really like the triggers once set up are sweet.

Thanks, but I decided to tackle one myself. I have it completed and now have both a 1st and 2nd stage adjustment on the trigger itself. I replaced the rollers with rounded and polished set screws. Waiting for the blue loctite to dry now. Seems to be working well. I made the trigger using 1/4" thick aluminum. I will get some pics up shortly.

Well, here are some pics of the setback trigger project.
First a shot showing the amount of setback compared to the original trigger. Then a shot of the trigger installed in the rifle without the stock in place. You can see the two threaded holes for the 4-40 setscrews I used to provide an adjustable 1st and second stage. The first stage is rather redundant, as the HW already has a set screw you can see to the left. I can access mine with an allen wrench without removing the trigger guard or the rifle from the stock.
Next, you can see the adjustments with the action installed in the stock.

Just a couple more shots, and please excuse the dust in all the photos
.
First a closeup of the trigger with the guard installed and turned upright. And last a shot of the completed rifle standing. I have only fired the rifle a couple times to test as I was making the trigger and it seemed to work well. If for some reason it does not work out, I can reinstall the factory trigger with only a shortened trigger weight screw preventing it from being original.
My few test shots were nothing short of an amazing difference, IMO. I like the shorter reach much better, and I believe I have the trigger adjusted much better. When my loctite dries on the set screws, I will test it for safety and see if any further adjustments are required. So far, I like!!

Thanks Joe. It made quite a difference in shooting comfort for me. I guess I must have short fingers.
