Can anyone tell me the correct way to remove the shroud and barrel on my Prosport .22??? Thanks in advance

I'm in the middle of a ProSport project too.. same thing. I'm trying to remove the barrel on mine. That N041 nut at the base of the breech end of the barrel just won't budge for me! I've already tried hitting it with some heat from a heat gun too (I read there is loc-tite also holding the barrel and shroud in place).

Apparently, they smear loc tite or some other adhesive the entire length of the barrel and then install the shroud. It is rumored to be an absolute PITA to remove.

There is also discussion to the effect that the nut is REALLY REALLY on there, and glued to boot. Apparently, a liberal application of heat, a bit of the old heave ho, and I will come off.
