R9 used for $300??

Would a older R9 for $300 be a good 'deal' ? Some minor nicks on the stock. The stock isn't shaved down in the front like the new model, also doesn't have a muzzle break either, does anyone know how old it would be? Or a easy way to find out?

it sounds about right if its as nice as you say. can you shoot it ? id like to shoot an older gun for that price specially if 1 has to do any tuning . I think a full kit is over a century mark

Unfortunately no I can't shoot it. He is in Idaho I'm in Georgia. It was listed as tuned however, the last message has me worried though.

 So I asked him if he tuned it himself. No answer yet. Here are the pics, scope is not included. He said it had original sites. So I assume its pre 2010 at least.

I just bought a newer model R9 with the longer checkered stock and muzzlebrake, with rings for 375 shipped. I thought that was a very fair price for both parties. 300 for an older model sounds good to me as well. Some of the newer ones I guess have had QC issues, but mine seems fine, shoots great just like it is, tk
