can you modify a pellet trap for bb's?

I was in Walmart and saw what looked like a do-all rimfire trap. It was on a closeout shelf but did not really look at it because I know they say not to use steel type projectiles which I sometimes use. Then I got to thinking "Could it be modified"? I do have a homemade duct seal set up but if I can avoid digging into the seal to remove pellets I would like that better. Could one line the do all with a rug or hang some kind of curtain so it could handle bb's? I would rather not use lead bb's. Any ideas pro or con appreciated.

Biggest problem with BBs is they bounce and are DANGEROUS when they do esp indoors.
The one thing I think of you dont like... duct seal.
Sorry man I got nuttin'

Curtains will stop just about anything so long as their not held tight. A couple curtains might do wonders. You might have to replace them every so often. BBs are actually more curtain friendly as they don't have a point to snag the weave with. Heck stuff a towel into it and your probably fine for BBs.
For that matter if you want a cheap BB trap just stuff some towels or old clothing in a cardboard box and tape targets to it. This won't work as well for pellets, but will probably last forever for BBs.

Or get a sheet of leather like an old hunk of a coat or similar .... Inner tube type rubber etc ...
Contact cement onto the deflection panel within trap. Should make trap very quiet while absorbing a lot of the BB's energy upon impact.

Some good ideas. As you can tell I'm looking for a one size fits all deal and that trap looks good. My duct seal trap(10"x10" ac register filled with seal then fitted into a cut out in 4ft by 4ft piece of plywood) works well. It just seems like it will be a project digging into the seal then reshaping it. If I do get the trap I can open up the cut out in the plywood a little and have a similar set up. However, being that the trap is heavier will need some kind of platform or brackets to sit on in the backside of the plywood. Thanks again.
