shooting bench

Finally broke down and built a shooting bench. I used the video from Buddy legs site. I use my outdoor shed to shoot from. It's 13 yards or 39 feet to the target.
I mounted a Barska spotting scope using the "ram mount" system. I had to cut the legs down by 2 inches. Ordered the longer size as it is easier to cut than return and have a new one shipped.

DIY shooting benches are great. I like what you built. You are a lefty, too.

Great looking bench! I have been thinking of following the same design. How sturdy is the bench?

I added a 1x6 along the length, glued and screwed. I stood on it and and no movement. My garden shed floor is not perfectly level so I added a shingle to the bottom of one leg as a leveler. The rug bits are for my bony elbows. I opted for the RAM MOUNT system as I use it for my GPS in the car and on my motorcycle.
You don't need the buddy legs. You can also use a Black And Decker Work Mate to hold the plywood top. You do lose some portabilty tho.

Very sturdy. It works well shooting prairie rats in Wyoming...
