$2 adjustable scope Shade

I have a bushnell banner 6-24x40. In my shooting range the sun shines right into the scope in the late afternoon. I have being looking for a shade for that scope and could not fine any. Went to Lows looking for a tube and could not fine anything that I could use and make it look decent.  After lots of thought, I decided of expanding on the idea of using black paper and a rubber band.

Materials:

A black vynil folder from any office store. (make sure you get as thin as possible becuase if it is too thick it will not form well around the scope)

tools:

Ruler, sharpie, knive, scissors.

Cut the vinyl the width you would like the scope shade to be. I made mine 5.5 inches and that is an overlap of 1 to 1.5 with the scope.



Look carefully at the 3 slids for the bands. I tried to at first by 3 made it more stable. After making my first one I will go back and make it with 3 bands.
