BTW -- I picked one of these up and it was perfect. Not only a good looking gun but had a 'remanufactured' STICKER by the trigger guard which came off... This was a great deal! Recommended if you want to try out that nitro piston. Maybe I can chrony today...

Thanks for looking at our website. We have always had an ecrypted site I just failed to ever install the Trustwave Certifcate and shield, Security is always our highest concern. I have now installed the shield and certificate on the checkout page. I appreciate each and eveyone of you guys and am always willing to do what makes people feel comfortable dealing with us. I had posted chrony numbers for my titan elsewhere, but would probably do some good here! I was very happy with the feel and consistency of this rifle. VERY happy with this purchase.

Somebody had expressed reservations about this deal b/c they hadn't heard of the website before.  Neither had I, for that matter, but I ordered one.  Had no problems with ordering, my order was processed and shipped quickly (within 24 hours, IIRC).  No tracking number, although I'm sure they would have given me one had I asked, but they didn't ship it adult signature required, so it wouldn't have mattered to me anyway.  You never really know a retailer's character until there's a problem to be resolved, but the fact that there were no problems to be resolved is always a good sign.  I wouldn't hesitate to order from R&L again.

The shipping container was a cardboard box a gnat's hair bigger than the Crosman box, which was just slightly bigger than the gun and apparently made out of newspaper for all the strength it had.  The gun came in with a huge hole punched through the side of both boxes; fortunately, whatever did it just missed the gun, and there's no discernible damage.  Every SINGLE rifle I've ever purchased has come in this way, several damaged, with the exception of those I've purchased from Pyramid Air, who uses heavy, oversized boxes to ship with.  Every last one.  I'm not sure why retailers ship these rifles in sleeves that conform to the inner box perfectly, as using a slightly oversized box with interior padding would go a long way towards protecting the rifle while adding little, and in most cases nothing, to the cost of shipping.  My bad luck is legendary, though, and maybe everybody else doesn't have a Fed-Ex and UPS guy who plays hackey sack with their boxes while strolling up to the door.

As for the gun itself, I was a little concerned I'd end up with a $)((#, as I bought a remanufactured Big Cat a while back and was fairly disgusted with what I got.  But the gun is in flawless condition; not a scratch on it, no dents or scratches on the stock,  and shows no signs of ever having been fired.  As Gene said, there's a small R stamped on the right side of the barrel's pivot point, in the middle of the pellet graphic.  Not very noticeable, and certainly not a problem.  The stocks on the Titan's at my local WM are a light blonde color, whereas this one came in with a much darker colored stock - maybe somewhere between oak and walnut.  I'm a little stupefied by the magic worked by the good folks at Crosman; never before have I seen a company manage to take a wood stock and remove all depth whatsoever from it, leaving it looking exactly like the fake wood finish on the laminated kitchen cabinets in my 1967 - era house.  The grain's absolutely beautiful, and the color's not bad - definitely better than the blonde version - but it looks like it was printed out and then glued onto the stock.  Hopefully I can strip that down and refinish for a much nicer look.

So far I've only tried 14.5gr RWS Superdomes.  I'm getting cloverleaf (the right term?  Not every pellet in one hole, but one bigger hole measuring 0.456" from outside edge to outside edge) groupings from 13 meters (too cold to go outside), which is pretty much the upper limit of my shooting skills.  Take the scope that comes with it and throw it away, or at least get some decent rings for it; I'm going to swap the whole assembly out for a better one as soon as I get my Big Cat back from a friend of mine.  Cocking is smooth and grit-free, and the rifling looks sharp and even, at least as far as I can tell without a borescope.  The trigger is much better than my Big Cat's, and miles and miles ahead of a G1 I bought and returned the next day to Walmart.  I'm sure I'll eventually get a GRT-III, just to see what all the fuss and the hoopla is all about, but for now, this trigger is very workable.  Very little recoil, no noticeable torque (a welcome change from my Big Cat), and I have no reason to think that once I get a better scope and mount on there and put a few hundred pellets through it, it won't end up with even better groupings than the eminently acceptable ones it's already giving me.

Sorry to throw up a wall of text, but I'm always hesitant to purchase items remanufactured, and I really prefer for somebody who's bought one from that supplier to give an opinion on what I'm getting.  In case you couldn't tell from the above, I'm extremely happy with this rifle, and especially considering the price I paid.  I can't see anything that would distinguish this from a brand new rifle, short of the R on the barrel, and I paid 2/3 of what I'd pay for a new one.  I almost never come out ahead in something like this, so I'm pretty thrilled.  Obviously, your mileage may vary.  It's entirely possible that somebody else buying one of these could end up with the $)((# Fate had set aside for me, but if the rifle I got was representative of the rest of them, I can't recommend them highly enough.

P/S: to the poster asking about whether the muzzle brake was easily removable, yes it is.  But if, like me, you were hoping to remove it to cut down on some of the ungodly length of the gun to make it easier to carry in the woods or wherever, you're going to be disappointed.  The brake only adds about 1/3" to the barrel length.
