Weihrauch hat!

My Weihrauch hat came in the mail yesterday!  That was very gracious of them to send out a hat like a few here have requested as well.  What a great company and nice bling to sport now while shooting a fine rifle!

Congrat's!   I asked Diana for one, and they referred me to UmarexUSA.  They have them for about $36 shipped!   Oh, well, looks like my next rifle will be an HW to go with my hat!

I sent them a direct e-mail stating it was impossible to find a ballcap with their company name on it to go with my HW97K and wondered how to get one.  They e-mailed me back and asked what my address was.  The rest was history. Great company and great rifles.

i will have to try that as my hw-55 is the king of the hill so to speak. not a long range gun but its a bullseye getter at 20 yards . if its a miss its not the gun and i will admit it too. any other gun i have well thats diffrent but not the 55

You do know that while wearing the cap, but shooting a Diana ain't gonna work, don't you?

i asked weihrauch for a cap too. they sent me an email wanting my address so i just sent it to them. i tried rws /diana and they directed me to umarex and they only ask me for $49.00+ shipping. i always liked my dianas well,but my hw-55 is the best gun i own and after owning over 7 dianas id think a cap would be in order . sorry umarex ,rws/diana , the next new gun will be a weihrauch . they remember who bought from them i have to remember them at the next buying session

I also sent Diana a e-mail asking where to get them and explained to them I have and have had a few Diana models.  They sent me to Umarex who in turn told me $35 plus $7.95 shipping.  I replied kindly what Weihrauch did for me and said I would be glad to buy one at a REASONABLE price of like $15 shipped since they get those cheap hats they pay like $3 each for!  And for you rock throwers stating overhead and such I had a friend in the shirt/hat embroidery business and he told me the mark up on these things and $15 they would still be making a great bottom line!

Guess what Robert..............no reply back!  I guess I PO'd the Umarex guy who sells hats!

I guesstimate at $20 tops delivered Umarex would still profit about $10 per hat or slightly better.  Shame on Umarex for asking such an absorbent price for such a simple item they buy from Sri Lanka or Vietnam where my buddy got his hats.

gary was the guy that stated the huge price. I think they kicked it up when I sent them an email. makes me think after all the dianas I own and how they treated us im goin weihrauch next new gun . sad to think umarex is still gouging us on prices

That is the guy......Gary!  I think he is still pondering what I e-mailed him!  But Umarex has no stake in this I guess whereas Weihrauch shipped direct from Germany to my house!  What a company for sure!

mike, I almost just called and ask for gary. then I was gonna unload on him for askin an absurd price for a cap that cost mabe $5 after stitching and shipping. if they ask mabe $10 I might consider but heck if weihrauch gives me a free cap I aint gonna waste my breath. wonder how many they sell? 1 would think they would give a cap when you buy an overpriced gun wouldn't you? my hats off to weihrauch

I agree Robert!  Even at the mall where things are way overpriced a Nike hat cost less

I think they have lost touch with reality for sure!

well mike , today my boss took in his order of 100 caps with his custom logo embroidered on them, total cost was $ 4.79 apiece on an order of 100 and up. talk about markup? I thought $ 15 was sorta expensive for free advertizements at that

My friend who did the shirt/hat business for years made alot of moolah even selling at $15 a hat delievered!  Umarex must have a boat load of these with dust all over them!  Maybe they will get the idea one day and sell them with a fair profit and allow the working man the ability to afford one.

But I suspect Umarex does not base the companys bottom line on hat sales but rather guns imported and sold!

There has to be a bean counter sitting there saying however, "Hey Gary, all those 1000 hats with Diana embroidered on them, why aren't they selling?"  I can only imagine if I were the bean counter I would say back, "Gary sell those darn things for a respectful price of $15 delivered catdaddy!  Get the name out there and the advertisement!"

But hey, I did not major in economics or business.  I was just a engineer major at one time but I understood stock sitting on a shelf and the need to move it when I worked at a grocery store chain many moons ago!

So if Gary is watching here and I doubt he is..................I say Gary sell those hats for a decent price and still make some jack for the company!

I charge $18 shipped but USPS Priority costs from $5.65 to $6.35 per. And I can't afford to buy 100 caps at a time for a better price break.
But our GTA caps are VERY nice and we really aren't making money on them.
Just wanted to toss that in.
