My .177 HW50S needs a brother and/or sister...

I have JM kits in my 50,95, and 77. An OS kit in my .177 34 and still have a Vortek in my .22 34. With proper lube they don't feel much more difficult to cock than the 50S. They OS kit actually feels easier.

I am an old/Senior noobie.  These various kits/mods, are they something I can do without voiding any warranties...and/or hurting anybody?

I recommend using a spring compressor for safety. Go slow and nobody will know you have opened it up. The 34 is one of the easiest guns to work on.

I wouldn't worry about warranties..Unless there is some  problem  right out of the box you will more than likely never need It.
 Most issues can be corrected at your work bench for much less than the cost of shipping your Ag to a service center and having to wait weeks on end .
Besides, you would be missing out on an AG education.

Thanks everybody.  I think I'll just go ahead and spring for a .177 caliber Diana 34 when I get my next paycheck on the 12th. 

I've got some sort of BAM back home in Texas that works and that I have exactly $0.00 in.  It can be my trial balloon for mods.

FYI....you're going to end up opening that D34...they come dry as a bone......No biggies as they are pretty easy open and the GTA has wealth of D34 owners. Get it , lube it, Enjoy it!

If you go with a D34 it's easy to tear down and lube tune. I did mine 8or9 times playing with the tune I wanted. Well, I'm still wondering whether my HW50S' sibling is a girl or a boy.  My credit card was charged on 5 June.  As of 10 June, the rifle has not been shipped.  I can understand shipping backlog delays and I accepted the stated three day delay BUT charging the card before the item is shipped is just plain wrong....IMO.

Let's just say that if I'd paid another $20 and ordered from PA, I'd probably be shootin' it by now.  I've dealt with these people before and expect the rifle will show up sooner or later.  What fries my shorts is that their stated shipping delay did not carry over to a similar delay in charging my card.

Exactly!  I'm not particularly worried about losing the money, I'm just a tad galled at the self-serving act of the merchant.

The rifle is now somewhere between Chicago and Polson.  FedEx indicates that we should know, by this weekend, whether I saved any money by not buying it from PA to start with......or not.
