.25 Marauder and Pyramyd

Let me preface this by saying this is in no way a flaming thread towards Pyramyd Air. I just want to make that clear up front. I just got back in town from my trip out to Oakland and picked up my brand new .25 Marauder from the office. I had it delivered there since I didn't want it sitting outside for my "neighbors" to get to it. I felt like a kid in a candy store. A new gun and new pellets to play with. Well, some of my elation went south right away. I opened the box to inspect it and lo and behold, the packet with the manual, degassing tool and most importantly the clip, were no where to be found. But I still found a way to shoot her. I took her home, aired her up and let a few pellets fly. How you ask? Good ole tweezers! Not the way I wanted to shoot but oh well. I got her sighted in at 30 yrs and this thing is a dynamo. Very accurate and packs a wallop. I can't wait to hunt with this rifle. I plan on calling or emailing Pyramyd on Monday and hopefully they can rectify this somehow. I know accidents happen, and I'm sure it came this way from the factory. I'm just a bit disappointed that's all. But I LOVE my new toy!

Have no doubt that PA will take care of you properly.
I have made over a dozen various orders from them over the years, and they have always done me right.
They even overnighted my gas ram converted CFX after they had a weekend of a complete power outage.

I'm not too worried about it. The gun was double boxed and neither box showed signs it was gone into before I got it so I'm reasonably sure it was that way from the factory. With the demand for these things I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. I got the main part which was the gun. I can't seem to get this smile off of my face.

Well Schmidt you can't go wrong with this one. Extremely accurate and hits like a freight train. My shooting has been limited but the little I have done has been phenomenal. But I'm not too hard to please. You won't regret the purchase. But I have to tell you I am now looking into getting a tank. It is somewhat of an air hog. But it will be fun being able to tweak the settings and get some more power out of her without having to worry about pumping so much.

Keith Congrats on the gun..... I just got done watching Rick Eustler review the .25 mrod and he loved it too, but said it was "noticeably" louder than his .22 Mrod.

What is your take?

Maybe it's my stock settings but mine is actually a little quieter than my .22 cal. But I have turned up the velocity a little bit on my 22.

Side note. I got two emails from Pyramyd. They contacted Crosman and they will be sending out a magazine soon. Two stand-up companies to say the least.

Second that.  You can't go wrong with Pyramyd Air.  Just a reminder tho - when you get that new Marauder - you're not yet home.  Then comes the scope, air tank, crony, bi-pod, pellets, custom stock, etc. etc.  I know 'cause I'm on that road right now myself.  With a .25 Marauder life is good.

well I'd like to get a hill pump, scope, pellets..  I have a chrony and wouldn't get a bi-pod.  But now I am thinking about getting a .22 because of pellets selection pellet cost and also amount of shots per fill.  I'd imagine the .22 would kill a fox/racoon/skunk with a head shot.  thats about as big as anything I'll shoot at... so.. I dunno

ahhhh yeah...Some guy on the Marauderifleforums killed a deer with a .22 Marauder.  Head shot with 21 grain barracudas @ around 20 yards. so I'd say you will fine for foxes

no SH!T really!  wow thats awesome yea I'm going with .22 cal.. I'll prob order sometime next week after pyramyd air gets them in.. I'm also going to go with the Hill pump.  At straight shooters the pump is 305 shipped.  I dunno anyone have a reccomendation on a good pump thats not 300 bucks or somewhere I can buy the hill for cheaper?
